Trevone () is a seaside village near Padstow in Cornwall, England, UK.

Traditionally a fishing port, Padstow is now a popular tourist destination.

Padstow is best known for its "' Obby ' Oss " festival.

This is an ancient British midwinter celebration that occurs every year in Padstow and was originally part of the pagan heritage of midwinter celebrations that were regularly celebrated all over Cornwall where people would guise dance and disguise themselves by blackening up their faces or wearing masks.

Folklorists associate the practice with the widespread British custom of blacking up for mumming and morris dancing, and suggest there is no record of slave ships coming to Padstow.

As with many things in Cornwall, there is a legend as to how the Doom Bar came about ; a local fisherman is reputed to have shot a mermaid with an arrow, with the result that she cursed Padstow by putting this sandbar between the harbour and the sea.

On the western bank Tregirls beach and St Georges Well lie between Stepper Point and Padstow, while on the eastern bank moving upstream from Pentire Point there is Polzeath beach, Daymer Bay and Rock.

The L & SWR's lines reached their most westerly point at Padstow ( some ) from Waterloo ) on the completion of the North Cornwall Railway in March 1899.

Some community events survived, such as at Padstow and at Helston, where to this day, on 8 May, the townspeople dance the Furry Dance through the streets, in and out of shops, even through private houses.

Alfords Point is located on the southern bank of the Georges River. The suburb is nearly completely surrounded by bushland from the Georges River nature Reserve and with Alfords point Road within its Eastern side border running south to north onto the Alfords Point Road Bridge across the Georges River towards Padstow, There is only one road to enter and exit the Alfords Point which is called Brushwood Drive.

Revesby is bounded on the north by Canterbury Road and the suburbs of Bankstown and Condell Park, on the south by Revesby Heights and Picnic Point, on the Georges River, on the west by Panania, and on the east by Padstow.

The footpath runs from Padstow in the north to Fowey in the south, a distance of 26 miles ( 41 km ).
