When the Orioles were the St. Louis Browns, they played in only one World Series, the 1944 matchup against their Sportsman's Park tenants, the Cardinals.

Since, the White Sox have played in U. S. Cellular Field, which was originally called New Comiskey Park and nicknamed The Cell by local fans.

At this time, the team played their home games at South Side Park.

About this time, an organization called the " Thistle Club " was founded and, curling being a winter sport, was played when the ice was suitable on the Detroit River at the foot of Joseph Campau ; on the bay ; and at the old Recreation Park.

Everest and burning a Yankees cap at its base camp ; hiring professional exorcists and Father Guido Sarducci to " purify " Fenway Park ; spray painting a " Reverse Curve " street sign on Storrow Drive to change it to say " Reverse the Curse " ( the sign wasn't replaced until just after the 2004 World Series win ); and finding a piano owned by Ruth that he had supposedly pushed into a pond near his Sudbury, Massachusetts farm, Home Plate Farm.

* June 4, 1996 – 22-year old drifter John Royster brutally beats a 32-year old female piano teacher in Central Park, the first in a series of attacks over a period of eight days.

In the aforementioned two albums, the group goes from an energetic fusion of upbeat genres ( a representative example of which is the song " Vital Transformation ") to very serene, chamber music-like tunes, such as " A Lotus On Irish Streams ," a composition for acoustic guitar, piano and violin, and " Thousand Island Park ," which drops the violin and incorporates double bass ; or from low-key to extremely busy in a single piece, such as " Open Country Joy.

Mr. Carey hosted numerous cocktail / dinner parties at his Park Avenue, & 61st St. apartment, having his favorite pianist, Forever Fields playing Carey's favorite Broadway & Pop songs to his invited guests on his Steinway grand piano.

The Eroica Trio is an American piano trio consisting of Erika Nickrenz, piano ; Susie Park, violin ; and Sara Sant ' Ambrogio, cello.

During the 1930s at the urging of Eddie Duchin, Al Kavelin organized a similar orchestra to replace Duchin at the Central Park Casino, including Carmen Cavallero on the piano.
