Playing in Europe was reflected in the championship and Partizan lost the title.

Later on, Partizan was eliminated by CSKA Moscow, the eventual winner of the competition.

During his career with FK Partizan he won 4 Yugoslav Championships ( 1961, 1962, 1963, 1965 ) and leading Partizan as captain to the 1966 European Cup Final.
