This leads to Piper and Phoebe discovering the identity of their younger half-sister Paige Matthews ( Rose McGowan ) who was kept secret because of her Whitelighter heritage.

With the addition of Paige, Piper and Phoebe are able to avenge Prue's death and vanquish the Source twice – both in his original incarnation and that of his next incarnation, Cole Turner.

Later in the episode, while attending Prue's funeral, Phoebe meets Paige Matthews ( Rose McGowan ) and receives a premonition of the woman being attacked by the same demon that killed Prue.

This incident leads to Phoebe and Piper discovering that Paige is their younger half-sister.

During this season, Phoebe finds herself maturing into the role of the " middle sister " as she attempts to play mediator between Piper and Paige.

Paige is eventually saved by Phoebe Halliwell ( Alyssa Milano ) and her boyfriend Cole Turner ( Julian McMahon ), and then subsequently introduced to Piper Halliwell ( Holly Marie Combs ) and her husband Leo Wyatt ( Brian Krause ).

While Paige finds it easier to develop a friendship with Phoebe, she initially butts heads with Piper, but eventually the two sisters grow to have a mutual respect for each other.

Later in the season, Paige, alongside Phoebe, trains to be a mid-wife in order to deliver Piper's baby.

At the suggestion of Piper and Phoebe, Paige instates the now human Leo as the new headmaster of Magic School in her place so that she can take a break while Leo can work in a place safe from the harm of demon attacks.

In the episode " Freaky Phoebe ", Paige takes on official Whitelighter duties and gains her first charge in a witch named Mitchell Haines ( Seamus Dever ) who has the power of superhuman speed.

In the season four episode " The Three Faces of Phoebe ", Paige displays growth with her orbing powers by transporting herself across town for the first time.

In the fifth and following season ( 2002 – 2003 ), the character of Prue is briefly seen when Phoebe and half-sister Paige Matthews ( Rose McGowan ) visit the past memory of Piper's wedding.

Piper, Phoebe and Paige later utilize the power of Astral Projection to defeat the threat of the demon Zankou ( Oded Fehr ).

This is indicated by Piper stating " Thank you Prue ," once Piper, Phoebe and Paige reflect on the successful attack.

At first, Paige doesn't believe her, but they go to the manor where after seven years, Prue, Piper, and Phoebe are finally reunited with a hug.

At one time, Phoebe and Paige took his soul, albeit unwillingly, in order to get Leo out of Valhalla.

In this reality, Paige ( whom Cole blamed for turning Phoebe against him ) was killed before her sisters and Leo found out about her.

Leo was knocked out during the final battle, but Paige persuaded Phoebe to join hands with an unconscious Piper, reuniting the Power of Three and restoring Paige's active powers.

Paige then managed to get the potion away from Cole, and Phoebe vanquished Cole once and for all.

Unfortunately the spell had the side-effect of sticking Phoebe, Paige and a warlock in a time loop until Piper reversed it.

Phoebe and Paige help convince Leo that his true destiny is with his family and when Leo realizes that is true, he is made mortal for good and free to live his life with Piper and their children.

He is taken away again when Piper goes back in time to save Phoebe and Paige who were killed, but is ultimately reunited with his family after the final battle ends the way it was destined to and lives out into old age with Piper.

Alarmed by her change in attitude, Paige and Phoebe told Chris to ask Leo about Piper, but Chris admitted that Leo had been kidnapped.

When Paige and Phoebe told Piper that Leo was missing, she was oddly unaffected by the news, not really remembering their parting.

Phoebe and Paige confronted Piper, using a spell to make Piper feel her suppressed emotions.

Named The Last One, it showed all six cast member starting new lives: Rachel moving to Paris but later returning after Ross says he loves her, Monica and Chandler finally having children when their surrogate gives birth to twins, Joey is still living in his apartment with a job on Days of our Lives while Phoebe and Mike decide to have children.

After a tumultuous love affair, often deterred due to Cole's frequent struggle between good and evil, and still managing to graduate from college Phoebe ventures into The Underworld to save Cole from his dark side and unwittingly becomes a pawn to the Source of All Evil.

At the start of season seven ( 2004 – 2005 ), Phoebe is still stripped of her powers.

In the season premiere, " A Witch's Tail ", Cole returns more powerful than ever, and though he still loves Phoebe, she wants to move on from him and is frustrated by his attempts to win her back.

Piper is not specific enough about where she wants to go and apparently ends up traveling to when Phoebe was conceived and her parents were still together.

As Dracula's Brides and the other monsters close in, it is realized that Phoebe, being five, must still be a virgin, and the German Guy attempts to help her read the incantation as the rest of the Squad fends off the monsters.
