To convince the sisters, Leo sacrificed himself by getting angry, thus forcing the Avatars to vanquish him ( as the Avatars did to all who have negative feelings ), but as he was dying, he relayed a message to Phoebe, who remembered, and then took it upon herself to make sure her sisters felt pain in order to see that what the Avatars were doing was wrong.

But when Phoebe then joins hands with her sisters, the Power of Three is reconstituted, Paige's powers are restored and she orbs the potion from Cole's hand.

Cole and Phoebe were then duly crowned as the rulers of the underworld.

Also during her unemployed days, Monica worked for an unnamed food company, thinking up recipes and then making them, using substitute food products, such as ' Mocolate ' ( featured only in the season two episode " The One with the List "), a chocolate substitute which never took off due to its repulsive taste ( Phoebe described the taste of Mocolate as being " what evil must taste like ") and the side effect of causing urination to become painful if a large amount was eaten.

Rachel and Phoebe later surprise Ross and overpower him, however ( then Rachel mockingly implies that her practice is " Salmon Skinroll " as opposed to Unagi ).

Phoebe then sobbed as the judge sentenced her to hanging.

The Seer and Phoebe Halliwell then spoke a spell and returned the Hollow to its crypt.

By then, Claudia Salem and Phoebe Condos, former friends, were invited to sing backing vocals for the first seven songs.

Cole then goes to the Source, and the Source tells him that if Tempus was to reverse time that it would destroy him, but the only way the Source would do it is if Phoebe would join the dark side.

Paige starts to throw the potion at Cole, but Phoebe stops her and grabs the potion away from Paige, and gives Cole the same kind of chance to escape, that she gave Piper, Leo and Paige earlier.

With the addition of Paige, Piper and Phoebe are able to avenge Prue's death and vanquish the Source twice – both in his original incarnation and that of his next incarnation, Cole Turner.

In the show's third season ( 2000 – 2001 ), Phoebe develops the active power of Levitation and enters a relationship with Cole Turner ( Julian McMahon ), who is actually the demon mercenary Belthazor that has been hired to kill The Charmed Ones.

Upon this discovery Phoebe struggles between her loyalty to her sisters and her love for Cole.

After a tumultuous love affair, often deterred due to Cole's frequent struggle between good and evil, and still managing to graduate from college Phoebe ventures into The Underworld to save Cole from his dark side and unwittingly becomes a pawn to the Source of All Evil.

The opening episode of the fourth season ( 2001 – 2002 ), " Charmed Again ( Part 1 )", reveals that Phoebe was rescued from the Underworld by her Whitelighter Leo Wyatt ( Brian Krause ) and her boyfriend Cole.

Alongside continuing her Charmed role, Phoebe receives a marriage proposal from Cole, accepting after he becomes stripped of his demon half.

Phoebe eventually pens the spell to vanquish the Source, whom escapes a final vanquish by possessing the now human Cole.

For the remainder of the season, Phoebe plans to marry Cole unaware that he has become the new Source of All Evil and ruler of The Underworld.

After being tricked by Cole and The Seer ( Debbie Morgan ) into participating in a dark marriage ceremony, Phoebe lands a job as an advice columnist for the newspaper The Bay Mirror.

Later, her unborn child is magically stolen by The Seer who claims that the child is rightfully hers and never belonged to Phoebe or Cole.

For season five ( 2002 – 2003 ), Phoebe attempts to live a life without Cole where she can focus on her career.

This plan is stunted when a resurrected Cole returns to San Francisco eager to reconcile with Phoebe.

Through one of these magical journeys she meets and later dates a witch named Richard Montana ( Balthazar Getty ), a relationship which mirrors the love affair Phoebe had with Cole as Richard attempts to avoid the temptations of dark magic.

It was also around this time that Phoebe had confided in Leo that she didn't really vanquish Cole.

Just before Wyatt was born, Cole altered reality in one final attempt to win Phoebe back.

In this reality, Paige ( whom Cole blamed for turning Phoebe against him ) was killed before her sisters and Leo found out about her.

Cole is an adversary-turned-ally of the sisters introduced in the third series and a love interest of main character Phoebe Halliwell, portrayed by Alyssa Milano.

Cole is dispatched by the Source of all Evil himself to kill the Charmed Ones only to fall in love with then-youngest sister Phoebe, renounce evil and become a close ally of the Charmed Ones.

Though Cole eventually completely rids himself of his demonic nature, and marries Phoebe in the fourth season, he never gains the trust of new youngest sister Paige ( Rose McGowan ).

As the Source, Cole is eventually vanquished by the Charmed Ones, only to come back from death itself in his attempts to win Phoebe back.

Charmed Ones Phoebe ( Milano ) and Prue ( Shannen Doherty ) run into Assistant District Attorney Cole Turner at the site where they killed a demon, and cover their tracks.

Over the course of the episode, it becomes apparent to the audience that Cole is himself a very powerful demon, pursuing Phoebe romantically and deceiving the sisters as to his true nature in order to finally kill them.
