It is a fair to pay homage to and for applying gold leaf on the Phrachao Yai, a highly revered Buddha image of the people of Buri Ram.

Anouvong succeeded to the throne in 1805 upon the death his brother, Chao Intawong (), Chaiya Sethathirath IV, who had succeeded their father, Phrachao Siribunsan () Chaiya Sethathirath III.

Phrachao Siribunsan sought a middle ground in the conflicts between Burma and Siam, but he only succeeded in angering King Taksin.

Phrachao Suea had Phanthai Norasing executed against the former ’ s own consent, ordered the construction of a temporary shrine and put Phanthai Norasing ’ s head as well as the broken figurehead of the Ekkachai royal barge in the shrine to be a symbol of his honesty and loyalty.

This caused an accident when Phrachao Suea went along Khlong Khok Kham on his private trip by the Ekkachai royal barge.

He was given the title Somdej Phrachao Boromawongse Ther Kromaphraya Damrong Rajanubhab by King Prajadhipok in recognition to his works.

For example, in central Thailand, Nang Yai is performed at Khanon in Rachaburi, Wat Plub in Petchaburi, Wat Sawang Arom in Singburi, and Wat Pumarin in Samut SongKram, while in eastern Thailand it can be found at Wat Donin in Rayong Province.

The temple was first established as a monastery in 1958 by the Buddhist nun Mian Parnchand ( generally known as Luang Por Yai ) and her two nephews, Chamroon and Charoen Parnchand, who had both ordained as monks at Wat Khlong Mao in Lopburi Province, Thailand.

Wat Arun (,, " Temple of the Dawn ") is a Buddhist temple ( wat ) in the Bangkok Yai district of Bangkok, Thailand, on the Thonburi west bank of the Chao Phraya River.

Prince of Songkla University is the oldest and the biggest university in Southern Thailand, having the main campus near Hat Yai downtown ( the campus area covers ' Hat Yai ' city and ' Kho Hong ' town, parts of Greater Hat Yai ).

The largest crocodile ever held in captivity is an estuarine – Siamese hybrid named Yai (, meaning big ) ( born 10 June 1972 ) at the famous Samutprakarn Crocodile Farm and Zoo, Thailand.

In the mostly semi-evergreen Dong Phayayen – Khao Yai Forest Complex, they were recorded at low density at the turn of the century, with an estimated total of about 150 individuals.

There are 5 townships ( thesaban tambon ) – Bang Muang covers parts of tambon Bang Muang, Bang Len and Sao Thong Hin ; Bang Yai covers parts of tambon Bang Mae Nang, Bang Yai and Ban Mai ; Sao Thong Hin covers most parts of tambon Sao Thong Hin ; Bang Len covers most parts of tambon Bang Len ; and Ban Bang Muang covers most parts of tambon Bang Muang.

In 1984 the park was made an ASEAN Heritage Park, and on July 14, 2005 the park together with other parks in the same range and in the Dong Phaya Yen mountains further north was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site under the name Dong Phaya Yen – Khao Yai Forest Complex.

Other summits are Phu Khok Yai ( 693 m ), Phu Chep Thong ( 692 m ), Phu Tangok ( 689 m ), Phalan Sun ( 670 m ), Phanom Ai Nak ( 638 m ), Phanom Thaban ( 582 m ) and 374 m high Khao Banthat ( เขาบรรท ั ด ), located at the western end.

Ko Lanta Yai ( Thai: เกาะล ั นตาใหญ ่) is located in the Andaman Sea off the west coast of Thailand, between the Phi Phi Islands islands and the mainland.

The Thai Red Cross Association's Khao Lan Center ( ศ ู นย ์ สภากาชาดไทยเขาล ้ าน ) is set on Trat-Klong Yai Road, Tambon Mai Rut, in the same area as the former Cambodian refugees camp.

Tao Hill ( เขาเต ่ า ) 13 kilometres south of Hua Hin, there is a 1-kilometre branch road on the left which leads to the spot with two beaches called Hat Sai Noi and Hat Sai Yai.

Khlong Yai () is a district ( Amphoe ) of Trat Province, eastern Thailand.

Note that an early portion of Khwae Yai River in Amphoe Umphang, Tak Province is also called Klong River.

The Thai name " Thung Yai Naresuan ", on the one hand, refers to the " big field " ( thung yai ) or savanna in the centre of the sanctuary, on the other hand to King Naresuan, a famous Siamese ruler who supposedly based his army in the area to wage war against Burma sometime during his reign of the Ayutthaya Kingdom from 1590 until his death in 1605.

Although centres such as Bangkok ( Patpong, Nana Plaza, and Soi Cowboy ), Pattaya, and Phuket ( Patong ) are often identified as primary tourist " prostitution " areas, with Hat Yai and other Malaysian border cities catering to Malaysians, prostitution takes place in nearly every major city and province in the country.

Over the next few years, Emperor Xuānzong purged those officials he considered sympathetic to Li Deyu, and further pursued charges against Li Deyu based on the execution of the minor official Wu Xiang ( 吳湘 ) on charges that should not have warranted death, which occurred because Li Deyu was resentful of Wu Xiang's uncle Wu Wuling ( 吳武陵 ); Li Deyu was repeatedly demoted and sent farther and farther away from Chang ' an, eventually dying in exile around the new year 850 in Yai Prefecture ( 崖州, in modern Haikou, Hainan ).
