In 1980 Blue Angel recorded a second album for Polydor that was never released due to a change in management at Polygram Germany ; they, along with other artists, were dropped from the label.
The BBC issued its recording of Tzuke's " Radio 1 in Concert " performance from 1981, and Polygram issued a compilation album entitled Stay With Me Till Dawn which drew on Tzuke's first three albums released on Rocket Records with tracks from the Turning Stones album on Polydor Records.
Polygram merged with MCA to form Universal Music Group, and many of the cast recordings that Polydor has released are released in the US on the Decca Broadway label.
It underwent four distribution stages: by Atlantic Records from March 1973 to December 1975, by Polydor Records from January 1976 to December 1977, as an independent label from January 1978 to around October 1981, and finally by Polygram Records from around November 1981 until the label's end in 1983.

The group left Motown in 1986 for Polydor, and released several additional albums, which are primarily compilations of previous material.
Around the same time, East Bay Ray had tried to pressure the rest of the band to sign to the major record label Polydor Records ; Biafra stated that he was prepared to leave the group if the rest of the band wanted to sign to the label, though East Bay Ray asserts that he recommended against signing with Polydor.
With three more songs, " Sugar Baby Love " was recorded for Polydor in October 1973 at Landsdown Studios in Holland Park, London by a group of session musicians featuring the distinctive falsetto lead vocal of Paul Da Vinci ( real name: Paul Prewer ).
