The king's other foundations participated in the style of the Bayon, and included Ta Prohm, Preah Khan, Angkor Thom, and Banteay Chmar.

In addition, Jayavarman constructed the well-known temples of Ta Prohm and Preah Khan, dedicating them to his parents.

World Monuments Fund has aided Preah Khan, the Churning of the Sea of Milk ( a 49-meter-long bas-relief frieze in Angkor Wat ), Ta Som, and Phnom Bakheng.

A bas-relief at Preah Khan in Cambodia depicts the Battle of Lanka between Rakshasas and monkeys.

It was the centrepiece of Jayavarman VII's massive program of monumental construction and public works, which was also responsible for the walls and nāga-bridges of Angkor Thom and the temples of Preah Khan, Ta Prohm and Banteay Kdei.

As such, Ta Prohm formed a complementary pair with the temple monastery of Preah Khan, dedicated in 1191 A. D., the main image of which represented the Bodhisattva of compassion Lokesvara and was modelled on the king's father.

Built in the mid 12th to early 13th centuries AD during the reign of Jayavarman VII ( who was posthumously given the title " Maha paramasangata pada "), it is in the Bayon architectural style, similar in plan to Ta Prohm and Preah Khan, but less complex and smaller.

Neak Pean () (" The entwined serpents ") at Angkor, Cambodia is an artificial island with a Buddhist temple on a circular island in Preah Khan Baray built during the reign of King Jayavarman VII.

It is the " Mebon " of the Preah Khan baray ( the " Jayatataka " of the inscription ).

Like the nearby Ta Prohm, Preah Khan has been left largely unrestored, with numerous trees and other vegetation growing among the ruins.

Preah Ko is known for the beauty and intricacy of its carvings.

As usual Preah Khan is oriented toward the east, so this was the main entrance, but there are others at each of the cardinal points.

Preah Vihear (, " Sacred Sanctuary ") is a province ( khaet ) of Cambodia.

The province is named after the temple of Prasat Preah Vihear.

Preah Vihear is one of the nine provinces that is part of the Tonle Sap Biosphere Reserve.

Though it is understood that Preah Ream is an incarnation of the Hindu god Vishnu, his characteristics and those of the others in the story are interpreted in Cambodia as those of mere mortals, not of the gods as is the case in India.

Good examples are the temple towers of Preah Ko, Lolei and Bakong at Hariharalaya.

In the months leading up to the Cambodian decision, troops from both nations had clashed over territory claimed by both countries immediately adjacent to Cambodia's Preah Vihear temple, leading to a deterioration in relations.
