Bush was born in Milton, Massachusetts, to Senator Prescott Bush and Dorothy Walker Bush.

George Herbert Walker Bush was born at 173 Adams Street in Milton, Massachusetts on June 12, 1924 to Prescott Sheldon Bush and Dorothy Walker Bush.

After being debriefed extensively by the CIA, Lockheed, and the Air Force, on March 6, 1962, Powers appeared before a Senate Armed Services Select Committee hearing chaired by Senator Richard Russell and including Senators Prescott Bush and Barry Goldwater Sr.

In the 1940s and 50s, Locust Valley was the country home of Robert A. Lovett, a partner ( with Prescott Bush ) in Brown Brothers Harriman Bank on Wall Street and a former United States Secretary of Defense ; Elizabeth Shoumatoff, renowned portrait painter of President Franklin D. Roosevelt, and other local luminaries ; and finally, Leonard Hall, The National Chairman of the Republican Party.

This structure was built with stone quarried from the nearby Marble Cliff Quarry Co., and was once a residence of local industrialist and U. S. Senator Samuel Prescott Bush, grandfather and great-grandfather of U. S. Presidents George H. W. Bush and George W. Bush respectively.

Prescott Sheldon Bush ( May 15, 1895October 8, 1972 ) was an American banker and politician.

Bush was born in Columbus, Ohio, to Samuel Prescott Bush and Flora Sheldon Bush.

Prescott Bush was admitted to the Zeta Psi fraternity and Skull and Bones secret society.

Prescott Bush was a cheerleader, played varsity golf, football, and baseball, and was president of the Yale Glee Club.

After his discharge in 1919, Prescott Bush went to work for the Simmons Hardware Company in St. Louis, Missouri.

The Bushes moved to Columbus, Ohio in 1923, where Prescott Bush briefly worked for the Hupp Products Company.

They had five children: Prescott Bush, Jr. ( August 10, 1922 – June 23, 2010 ), George H. W. Bush ( b. 1924, named after Dorothy's father George Herbert Walker ), Nancy Bush ( b. 1926 ), Jonathan Bush ( b. 1931 ), and William " Bucky " Bush ( b. 1938 ).

The couple had six children: Julia Romana Howe ( 1844 – 1886 ) married Michael Anagnos, a Greek scholar who succeeded Dr. Howe as director of the Perkins Institute ; Florence Marion Howe ( 1845 – 1922 ), an author, she wrote a well-known treatise on manners and was married to lawyer David Prescott Hall ; Henry Marion Howe ( 1848 – 1922 ), a metallurgist who lived in New York ; Laura Elizabeth Howe ( 1850 – 1943 ), a Pulitzer prize-winning author, she was married to Henry Richards and lived in Maine ; Maud Howe ( 1855 – 1948 ), a Pulitzer prize-winning author, she was married to an English muralist and illustrator, John Elliott ; Samuel Gridley Howe, Jr. ( 1858 – 1863 ).

Thompson, who usually worked behind the scenes as a musical director for films, makes a rare appearance on camera as Maggie Prescott, a fashion magazine editor loosely based on Diana Vreeland.

Inspired by Harry Harlow's famous experiments on rhesus monkeys, which established a link between neurotic behavior and isolation from a care-giving mother, Prescott further proposed that a key component to development comes from the somesthetic processes ( body touch ) and vestibular-cerebellar processes ( body movement ) induced by mother-child interactions, and that deprivation of this stimulation causes brain abnormalities.

The town is in north central Arizona, on state Highway 89, 15 miles north of Prescott and 35 miles south of Ash Fork, which is on Interstate 40.

The railroad track, the old Prescott & Eastern line which long before had been taken over by the Santa Fe, was removed in 1971.

This was also at the junction of the historic road from Stoneman Lake which split there with one route going on to Cornville, Cottonwood and Jerome and the other going south to Camp Verde and on to Prescott via Cherry.

Old U. S. Route 89 ( now State Route 89 ), which goes through Yarnell, was paved in 1933, and for many years was the main highway from Phoenix to Wickenburg, Prescott and northern Arizona.

Located 100 miles southwest of Little Rock, Prescott was constructed on the Prairie D ' Ane, which consisted of approximately 25 – 30 square miles of rolling prairie, surrounded by forest.

The Nevada County seat was moved to Prescott in 1877, which contributed to the town ’ s commercial importance.

Prescott is the home of Fort Wellington, National Historic Park, which is a tourist destination.

Prescott is home to the Sandra S. Lawn Harbour, which attracts boaters from as far east as Montreal serving as a picturesque gateway to the Thousand Islands.

The Thousand Islands Bridge and the Ogdensburg – Prescott International Bridge, both of which cross the St. Lawrence River into New York, are located south-west and north-east from Brockville, respectively.

Tejas was a code name for Intel's microprocessor which was to be a successor to the latest Pentium 4 with the Prescott core.
