Dame Jean was at one time a lady-in-waiting to Princess Alice, Duchess of Gloucester, patron of the Dandie Dinmont Club, a breed of dog named after one of Sir Walter Scott's characters ; and a horse trainer, one of whose horses, Sir Wattie, ridden by Ian Stark, won two silver medals at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea.

Princess Victoria of Hesse and by Rhine, Prince Louis of Battenberg and their four children Princess Alice of Battenberg, Louise, George and Louis. Lord Mountbatten was born as His Serene Highness Prince Louis of Battenberg, although his German styles and titles were dropped in 1917.

His maternal grandparents were Louis IV, Grand Duke of Hesse, and Princess Alice of the United Kingdom, who was a daughter of Queen Victoria and Albert, Prince Consort.

Zora government is apparently monarchical, either ruled by a king,, or queen, such as Queen from Twilight Princess.

When, in 1923, Prince Albert, Duke of York became the first member of the British royal family to marry a non-princess in more than 300 years ( with the sovereign's approval ), so an announcement was apparently issued by Buckingham Palace and carried in the London Gazette and The Times, " It is officially announced that, in accordance with the settled general rule that a wife takes the status of her husband, Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon on her marriage has become Her Royal Highness the Duchess of York, with the status of a Princess ".

The marriage of tsarevich Alexei Petrovich in Torgau, Poland, without the permission of his father, Tsar Peter I, was thought, apparently an unwilling father in law to the Saxon Princess, to be a trahison to Russia, soon to be punished by death on his son.

In 1704 – 05, following the evacuation of the Bavarian court to the Spanish Netherlands after the defeat at the Battle of Blenheim, she apparently was in charge of the government in the Electorate of the Palatinate as Regent Princess Palatine.

Said plan could not work, however ; Harry had already been concurrently engaged to several other noble women including Princess Leia of Hungary, and ( apparently in an extreme act of diplomatic expediency ) Jeremy of Estonia.

Ferdinand did not think again about marriage until his mother, Princess Clémentine died in 1907.

Princess Mary ( later Queen Mary II of England and Scotland ) ( 1662 – 1694 ), eldest daughter of King James II & VII, and Princess Sophia Dorothea ( 1687 – 1757 ), only daughter of King George I, were eligible for this honour but did not receive it.
