Gao Qiu sells a precious saber to Lin Chong through a weapon seller and then requests for Lin's presence in his residence under the pretext of seeing Lin's new weapon.

Gao Qiu bribes the guards escorting Lin Chong there to kill him along the way.

However, Gao Qiu is dissatisfied with Lin Chong's fate and sends Lu Qian to Cangzhou to kill Lin.

Contrary to many depictions in popular culture, however, Lin Chong does not seek vengeance on Gao Qiu.

The 120-chapter version of Water Margin describes Lin Chong and Yang Zhi glaring at Gao Qiu as he enters the banquet hall, though the earlier 100-chapter version of the novel relates nothing at all concerning Lin Chong's actions while Gao Qiu is being held at the outlaw stronghold.

Qiu felt that a better future for women lay under a Western-type government instead of the Qing government that was in power at the time.

Immediately after, on July 12, the authorities arrested Qiu at the school for girls where she was a principal.

Qiu was acknowledged immediately by the revolutionaries as a heroine and martyr, and she became a symbol of women's independence in China.

Qiu was immortalised in the Republic of China's popular consciousness and literature after her death.

Liu Pi's guest Zhou Qiu ( 周丘 ) was looked down on by Liu Pi, but he, with Liu Pi's approval, had some successes with a surprising plan he hatched.

General Qiu Qingquan was appointed its commander, but was soon replaced by general Cheng Tung-kuo.

According to Huangfu Mi ( 215 – 282 ), the Yellow Emperor was born in Shou Qiu (" Longevity Hill "), which is today on the outskirts of the city of Qufu in Shandong Province.

However, recent archaeological discoveries and scholarship have led some scholars to conclude that the direct ancestor of clerical script was proto-clerical script, which in turn evolved out of the little-known vulgar or popular writing of the late Warring States to Qin period ( see Qiu Xigui, in references ).

A temple in honor of the Yellow Emperor was built there ; all that remains today are two giant stelae ( the Shou Qiu site ).

After Ma Teng was summoned to Xuchang, his son Ma Chao took over his forces, and reconciled with Han Sui, and together initiated an alliance ( the Alliance of Warlords within Passes ) which included Yang Qiu, Li Kan, Cheng Yi and others, to resist Cao Cao from the East of Tong Pass.

He was also a 20th generation descendant of Kong Qiu ( Confucius ).

However, the powerful eunuchs Qiu Shiliang and Yu Hongzhi ( 魚弘志 ), who were not consulted in the decision, opposed Li Chengmei, and despite Li Jue's objection, forged an edict in Emperor Wenzong's name deposing Li Chengmei by claiming that Li Chengmei was too young, and creating Li Chan crown prince instead.

Zhang Lu killed Ma Qiu personally.

There were many renowned Ming Dynasty artists ; Qiu Ying is an excellent example of a paramount Ming era painter ( famous even in his own day ), utilizing in his artwork domestic scenes, bustling palatial scenes, and nature scenes of river valleys and steeped mountains shrouded in mist and swirling clouds.

Alternatively the guan dao is also known as " Chun Qiu Da Dao " or ' Spring Autumn Great Knife ', again probably related to Guan Yu's loyal image depicted in the Ming dynasty novel ' Romance of the Three Kingdoms ', but possibly a Ming author invention.

After Zhang Lu surrendered to Cao Cao, Cao Cao presented Lady Dong to Yan Pu, and Ma Qiu to Zhang Lu.
