In December 1992, in the background of the official Madrid negotiations in London, Israeli vice-minister of foreign affairs Yossi Beilin and Norwegian researcher Terje Rød-Larsen set up a secret meeting for PLO representative Ahmed Qurei and Israeli history professor Yair Hirschfeld.
Terje Rød-Larsen ( born 22 November 1947 ) is a Norwegian diplomat, politician and sociologist.
Rød-Larsen grew up in Bergen and studied social sciences, culminating in a Ph. D. in sociology.
