In 2003, CalArts established a performance arts theatre in downtown Los Angeles called REDCAT, the Roy and Edna Disney Cal Arts Theater at Walt Disney Concert Hall.

The Neurotica-era line up of Jeff McDonald, Steven McDonald, Robert Hecker and Roy McDonald performed a career-spanning set at the REDCAT ( Roy and Edna Disney / Cal Arts Theater ) at Disney Hall in Los Angeles.

Walt Disney Concert Hall includes the 266-seat Roy and Edna Disney / CalArts Theater ( REDCAT ) and outdoor program areas including the W. M. Keck Foundation Children ’ s Amphitheatre, seating 250-300 and the Nadine and Ed Carson amphitheatre seating 120.

In 2003, Ed Ruscha curated " Emerson Woelffer: A Solo Flight ", a survey of the work of the late Los Angeles-based Abstract Expressionist, for the inaugural exhibition of the Gallery at REDCAT ( Roy and Edna Disney / CalArts Theater ).

In 2010 the festival was moved to the Regal Cinemas at the L. A. Live complex in downtown Los Angeles, with additional screenings at several other downtown venues including the Downtown Independent, Orpheum Theatre and the REDCAT Theatre ( below the Walt Disney Concert Hall ).

REDCAT is located in downtown Los Angeles in the Frank Gehry-designed Walt Disney Concert Hall complex.

Programming at REDCAT features experimental dance, theater, music, film and visual arts exhibitions from around the world.

In 2005, a survey of her work was shown at the Gallery at REDCAT.
