Meek then went on to have a UK and US # 1 success in 1961 with Telstar, named after the newly launched communications satellite and thus intended to commemorate the new space age.

Originally a remake of the same-titled unreleased Blaque single from 2002, Mis-Teeq and Telstar agreed not to use album version, instead releasing the alternate " Ignorants Radio Edit " as an official single version which entered the UK charts at # 8 on 12 July 2003.

They enjoyed several chart hits in their own right, including the UK and U. S. Number One " Telstar " ( named after the satellite and composed by Geoff Goddard and produced by Meek ), the first U. S. # 1 by a British group.
