Bands and artists that have claimed to be influenced by and / or a fan of Talk Talk include Portishead, Bark Psychosis, Catherine Wheel, Slowdive ( on their last album, Pygmalion ), Radiohead, DJ Shadow, Elbow, Shearwater and Death Cab for Cutie.

While Greenwood is the only member of Radiohead to have been classically trained on any instrument ( he took viola lessons as a child ), he is also the only band member without a university degree.
