The " Theater am Bahnhof " ( Theatre at the Railway Station ) is mostly used by the Theatergruppe Lampenfieber and was opened on 19 October 2008.

The railroad from Isfahan to Shiraz passes Abadeh and there are train services at Abadeh Railway Station to Shiraz, Esfahan, Tehran and Mashad.

The footbridge has been re-erected at Corfe Castle station on the Swanage Railway ( although some evidence suggests that this was a similar footbridge removed from the site of Merton Park Railway Station.

In the late 1920s, work began on the Thakhek – Tan Ap railway, that would have run between Thakhek, Khammuan Province and Tan Ap Railway Station, Quang Binh Province, Vietnam through the Mu Gia Pass.

In January 2007 work began on a 3. 5 km extension of the metre-gauge State Railway of Thailand network across the Thai-Lao Friendship Bridge to Thanaleng Railway Station, a new passenger and freight terminal in Dongphosy village, 20 km east of Vientiane.

In 2007, the Laotian Ministry of Transportation entered into discussion with Vietnam to discuss the possibility of opening a new railway line from Thakhek in Laos through the Mu Gia Pass to Tan Ap Railway Station in Vietnam's Quang Binh Province, on the North – South Railway.

From Montrose, a line was laid north through Delta, reaching Grand Junction in March 1883, which completed a narrow gauge transcontinental link with the Rio Grande Western Railway to Salt Lake City, Utah.

In 1902, strikes in the Caucasus broke out in March, and strikes on the Railway originating from pay disputes took on other issues, and drew in other industries, culminating in a general strike at Rostov-on-Don in November.

Train Depot-In March 1888, the Alabama Midland Railway built a small depot of Victorian railroad architecture in Ashford to be a waystation along the Bainbridge-to-Montgomery route.
