In this story King Randor announces that Keldor disappeared years ago.

This inference occurs specifically in the 1986 minicomic entitled " The Search for Keldor ", a story that involves Prince Adam and Randor searching for Randor's lost brother Keldor.

To find out what happened to Keldor, Randor and the Sorceress attempt to peer through the dimensional veil.

However, it seems unlikely that he is related to Randor in this continuity, as he has Skeletor's blue skin and some other slightly nonhuman features while he was still Keldor.

In a he-man. org interview with one of producers of the 2002 series, it is revealed that Keldor is the half-brother of Randor ; they have different mothers.

They encountered resistance from Captain Randor and his officers ; Keldor fought Randor personally, wielding two swords with astounding proficiency, but when Randor disarmed him, Keldor threw a vial of acid at him.

That war ended when Keldor and his forces attacked the Hall of Wisdom, home of the Elders, and Keldor and Randor engaged in a deadly duel that ended with Keldor hurling acid at Randor, only to have Randor deflect the acid with his shield, splashing the acid back at Keldor and burning his face, which led to his transformation into Skeletor.

The show's lead character is Prince Adam, the young son of Eternia's rulers, King Randor and Queen Marlena.

Eternia is ruled by King Randor and Queen Marlena.

Although Skeletor is defeated, he is able to prevent Randor from discovering Keldor's fate.

In the beginning of the first season he demonstrates a deep rooted hatred towards King Randor for his part in destroying his face and making him what he is now ; though he also attributes that to Evil-Lyn for saving him.

Likewise, Man-At-Arms has a close mentor / student relationship with Adam in addition to aiding He-Man and leading the Masters ( as the Heroic Warriors are called in the 2002 version ), and is close friends with Adam's father King Randor.

King Randor is a fictional character who appears in the popular 1980s Masters of the Universe franchise.

It is revealed by a writer that in this continuity Keldor and Randor are half-brothers, but it is never revealed if either knew that.

Although in the 2002 edition, he is not aware of his son being He-Man, it may be explained that Adam inherited the inherent skills to become He-Man through the inward bravery of Captain Randor.

* In the Masters of the Universe text adventure game that appeared on many home computers in the mid-1980s, King Randor is mis-spelt as ' King Radnor ' throughout the game on many platforms.

When the real He-Man shows up, King Randor helps by having everyone present at the party decide who is the real He-Man.

But after Keldors ' transformation into Skeletor they made Randor king as they became one with Castle Grayskull.

After his injury at the hands of King Randor, she had taken him to the altar of Hordak, who gave him new life by turning him into Skeletor.
