The borough comprises a patchwork of extremely affluent as well as some less affluent neighbourhoods ; The areas of Fulham, Parsons Green, Brackenbury Village, Brook Green, Ravenscourt Park and the Riverside compose of highly expensive Victorian and Edwardian houses, contrasting to the areas of White City and Shepherd's Bush, which, though also containing gentrified areas, have a more diverse and edgy backdrop.

Hammersmith also has a large municipal park called Ravenscourt Park located to the west of the centre.

The length of King Street places the westernmost shops and offices closest to Ravenscourt Park tube station on the District line, one stop west of Hammersmith itself.

Stations opened on the line at Shaftesbury Road ( Ravenscourt Park from 1888 ) and Shepherds Bush on 1 May 1874.

In 1875 permission was given for a link from the District station at Hammersmith to this line to a junction just east of Ravenscourt Park.

The disused L & SWR tracks between Ravenscourt Park and Turnham Green were eventually used for the westward extension of the Piccadilly line from Hammersmith in 1932.

These trials involved the one eastbound District Line train travelling in automatic mode between Stamford Brook and Ravenscourt Park stations.

It turned into Ravenscourt Park and fed the former moat there.

Ravenscourt Park is a London Underground station located in west Hammersmith, west London.

The station takes its name from the nearby Ravenscourt Park and is in Travelcard Zone 2.

London Assembly member Murad Qureshi has called for Piccadilly Line trains to stop at Ravenscourt Park on a regular basis.

The line through Ravenscourt Park station was opened on 1 January 1869 by the London and South Western Railway ( L & SWR ) on a new branch line to Richmond.

The station is located between Dalling Road ( B408 ) and Ravenscourt Road and is about 100 m north of King Street ( A315 ).

On 1 June 1877, the Metropolitan District Railway ( MDR, now the District Line ) opened a short extension from its terminus at Hammersmith to connect to the L & SWR tracks east of Ravenscourt Park station.

The station is served by the District Line and is between Ravenscourt Park and Turnham Green stations.

To the west of the station, the line became what is now the District line to Richmond, starting just to the east of Ravenscourt Park.

In June 1877 the Metropolitan District Railway ( MDR, now the District line ) had opened an extension from its own station at Hammersmith to a junction ( Studland Road Junction ) to connect to the L & SWR tracks east of Ravenscourt Park.

David Howie taught History at Appleby in the 1980s and 1990s, and was formerly President of Athol Murray College of Notre Dame in Saskatchewan and Head of School of St. John's Ravenscourt School in Winnipeg.

It was finally decided that St. John's College School would be amalgamated with Ravenscourt.

MR services were withdrawn on 31 December 1906 and GWR services were withdrawn on 31 December 1910 leaving operations at Ravenscourt Park to the MDR ( by then known as the District Railway ) and L & SWR.

From 1 January 1894, the GWR began sharing the MR's Richmond service and served Turnham Green once again, meaning that passengers from Ravenscourt Park could travel on the services of four operators.

Services on the Piccadilly Line began running through Ravenscourt Park on 4 July 1932.

Due to the long radio aerials stretching from the wireless room, the radio station was moved from Bletchley Park to nearby Whaddon Hall to avoid drawing attention to the site.

However, the West Street pedestrian bridges provide the residents and workers of Battery Park City connectivity to subway stations and the PATH station in the nearby Financial District.

The footbridge has been re-erected at Corfe Castle station on the Swanage Railway ( although some evidence suggests that this was a similar footbridge removed from the site of Merton Park Railway Station.

On the Pakistani side, the pass is from the National Park station and checkpoint in Dih, from the customs and immigration post in Sost, from Gilgit, and from Islamabad.

The closest railway station is either Waun-Gron Park or Fairwater railway station which both have half hourly services to and from Cardiff on the Cardiff City Line.

Besides the horses, Saratoga County is also known for its role in American History, being the home of the Battle of Saratoga < The Saratoga National Historical Park is located along the Hudson River in Stillwater, and features a drive-around trail where you can drive up to each station.
