Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University began on December 17, 1925, exactly 22 years after the Wright Brothers ' first flight, when Talton Higbee Embry and John Paul Riddle formed the Embry-Riddle Company at Lunken Airport in Cincinnati, Ohio.
