Del and Rodney then confront Slater, telling him they have copies of the letter ( copied using one of a batch of dodgy fax machines that Del was trying to sell ) and that since he had not been imprisoned for the theft of these diamonds, the double jeopardy clause would not apply and he would be sent to prison again.
