Within this interchange, Interstate 97 turns to the northeast and follows the former Maryland Route 3, shifting from a rural Interstate with few exits to a more urban one.

Interstate 97 ends outside of Baltimore at an interchange with the Baltimore Beltway, one of a series of interconnected interchanges which includes Maryland Route 2 and a spur of Interstate 895.

Wheaton developed from Leesborough ( named in 1826 ), a business district which popped near the junction of three major roads: The first is Brookeville Pike ( also known as the " Washington-Brookeville Pike " and later as the " Union Turnpike ", now MD Route 97, Georgia Ave ) a north / south toll thoroughfare running from Washington, DC to Brookeville, Maryland and eventually to Baltimore, Maryland.

U. S. Route 97 heads off to the northeast and Klamath Falls, Oregon.

Weed is located at the intersection of Interstate 5 and U. S. Route 97.

U. S. Route 97 is a major north-south U. S. highway continuing from Weed in a northeasterly direction toward Klamath Falls, Oregon and then north through Oregon and Washington to the Canadian Border.

U. S. Route 113 formerly ran along Bay Road from Milford to US 13 near the State Capitol Complex, however it was decommissioned in 2004 to avoid the concurrency with DE 1 between the Dover Air Force Base and Milford.

U. S. Route 113 is the main north – south artery of Worcester County, and is well-known locally for its dangerous two-lane sections which are currently being addressed.

Located on U. S. Route 113, Frankford, was founded in 1808 and incorporated in 1937.

From the end of the bridge, Route 97 heads south through the town to Georgetown, while Route 113 bears eastward along the river towards West Newbury.

The town is also crossed by Route 28, Route 110, and Route 113, the latter two meeting at a rotary at I-93 Exit 46, one of the more congested intersections along the I-93 corridor.

Massachusetts Route 113 is the main road through town, roughly parallel to the contour of the Merrimack River.

U. S. Route 59 and Minnesota State Highway 113 are two of the main routes in the community.

The town is served by U. S. Route 3 and state routes 25, 113 and 175.
