Indian cinema has made five films based on the play, Do Dooni Char starring Kishore Kumar, Angoor, starring Sanjeev Kumar, Bhrantibilas ( 1963 film ) starring Uttam Kumar, a movie in the Kannada language titled " Ulta Palta " starring Ramesh Aravind and a movie in the Tulu language titled " Aamait Asal Eemait Kusal " starring Naveen D Padil.

Paras is a 1971 Hindi film starring: Sanjeev Kumar, Rakee, Mehmood, Farida Jalal, Shatrughan Sinha, Madan Puri.

The show stars a fictional British Indian family, including Madhuri and Ashwin Kumar ( played by Indira Joshi and Vincent Ebrahim ), their thirty-something son Sanjeev ( played by Sanjeev Bhaskar ), and Sushila, Sanjeev's grandmother, normally referred to as Ummi ( played by Meera Syal ).

Sanjeev Kumar (; 9 July 1938 – 6 November 1985 ) was one of the most prominent Indian actors in Bollywood.

Sanjeev Kumar was born as Haribhai Jariwala in Surat Gujarat to a Gujarati family.

Sanjeev Kumar made his debut in the film Hum Hindustani in 1960.

Sanjeev Kumar deservedly won the BFJA Awards for Best Actor ( Hindi ) for his outstanding performance of a deaf and mute person in Koshish in which the female lead was played by Jaya Bhaduri, who acted as his deaf and mute wife and was nominated for Best Actor award in Filmfare for the same role.

In Naya Din Nayi Raat ( 1974 ) Sanjeev Kumar reprised the nine-role epic performance by Sivaji Ganesan in Navarathiri ( 1964 ), which was also previously reprised by Akkineni Nageswara Rao in Navarathri ( Telugu ; 1966 ).

Sanjeev Kumar has always been regarded as one of the most talented and versatile actors ever in Hindi cinema.

During the early 1980s, Sanjeev Kumar did more supporting roles than playing the lead.

Sanjeev Kumar never married but was involved with actress Sulakshana Pandit, whom he did not marry, having been turned down by Hema Malini, with whom he was in love at the time.

In 1985 at the age of 47 Sanjeev Kumar had a massive heart attack, resulting in his death.

Sanjeev Kumar was nominated for 14 Filmfare Awards.

Unable to tolerate the rejection, Sanjeev Kumar was reportedly driven to alcoholism and remained unmarried till his death in 1985.

Their father Nilesh ( Sanjeev Kumar ), a talented musician, died not long after his wife's death, so the children were sent to live with their paternal grandfather.

In March 2006, BBC Scotland documentary Happy Birthday Oor Wullie celebrated his 70th birthday with celebrity guests including Karen Dunbar, Sanjeev Kohli, Kaye Adams, Iain Robertson, Tony Roper, Tam Cowan, Stuart Cosgrove and Dominik Diamond, and was narrated by Lord of the Rings star Billy Boyd.

In December 2005, the BBC Scotland documentary Happy Birthday Broons celebrated the family's 70th anniversary with celebrity guests including Muriel Gray, Ford Kiernan, Sanjeev Kohli, Eddi Reader, Elaine C. Smith, Ricky Ross, Tony Roper, Tam Cowan, Grant Morrison, Frank Quitely and was narrated by Ewan McGregor.

On 23 August 2005, Raj appeared in court along with Sashi Sanjeev Pal, the managing director of Hunts Travel, on charges of conspiracy to defraud the government and of obtaining money ( F $ 10, 000 ) by false pretenses.

Sanjeev and Twinkle, a newly married couple, are exploring their new house in Hartford, which appears to have been owned by fervent Christians: they keep finding gaudy Biblical paraphernalia hidden throughout the house.

At the time of his death only three-fourths of this film was complete, and it was decided to alter the story in the second half of the film to explain the absence of Sanjeev Kumar's character
