The B-52s were formed when vocalist Cindy Wilson, her older brother and guitarist Ricky, organist and vocalist Kate Pierson, original drummer and percussionist Keith Strickland and cowbell player and vocalist Fred Schneider played an impromptu musical jam session after sharing a tropical Flaming Volcano drink at a local Chinese restaurant.

The other members of the group, all well known jazz musicians, included Matty Matlock on clarinet, Moe Schneider on trombone, piano player Ray Sherman, bass player Morty Corb, guitarist Bill Newman, and drummer Nick Fatool.

The Walker Brothers Trio was formed in Los Angeles in 1964 by John Walker ( lead vocals, guitar ), Scott Engel ( bass, harmony vocals ), and drummer Al " Tiny " Schneider.

Realizing that they shared many musical interests, McIntyre introduced Schneider to Hilarie Sidney.

The record is the first Apples in Stereo album without Hilarie Sidney, making Schneider the last founding member remaining in the group, although John Hill joined before " in stereo " was added to the name.

Notably, the label has also released albums from side bands of The Apples in Stereo members ; 010 by Ulysses and Songs About the Ocean by The High Water Marks ( containing The Apples in Stereo members Robert Schneider and Hilarie Sidney, respectively ).

The band went on a brief hiatus during 2004 as Schneider released the debut album from a new band called Ulysses and Sidney released the debut album from her new band The High Water Marks ; both were released on Eenie Meenie Records.
