In Maclean's 2012 common law school rankings, the Schulich School of Law had placed 6th in Canada.

Being in Calgary, with Canada's highest concentration of engineers and geoscientists, the Faculty of Science, Department of Geosciences and the Schulich School of Engineering maintain ties to the petroleum and geoscience industry.

The Schulich School of Law is a faculty of Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.

The school was renamed the Schulich School of Law in October 2009.

On September 30, 2009, Dalhousie University President Tom Traves and Dean Phillip Saunders announced that philanthropist Seymour Schulich presented a $ 20 million gift designated entirely for the Faculty of Law.

In honour and recognition of Schulich's support, the Faculty of Law was renamed the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University.

Primarily located at the Seymour Schulich Building in Toronto, Ontario, the school also maintains an executive education centre in Toronto's Financial District in downtown Toronto and a satellite campus in Hyderabad, India.

His philanthropy also extends beyond universities, to the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre ( Schulich Heart Centre ) in Toronto, and outside Canada to the University of Nevada, Reno and Technion ( Israel Institute of Technology ).

However, during this time, he did give generously to McGill's Library of Science and Engineering which was renamed the Schulich Library of Science and Engineering in honour of his family in 2001.

In 2004, he was preparing to leave home for Montreal to study viola performance at the Schulich School of Music in McGill University, when he decided to audition for Canadian Idol.

The campus, to be named the Schulich GMR Campus, is accredited by the All India Council for Technical Education ( AICTE ) and the inaugural class began in January 2010.
