Shockwave, Scorponok, Bludgeon, and Ratbat all led the Decepticons, often overthrowing Megatron in the process or taking over the group during the period when Megatron was believed dead.

They include Megatron, Starscream, Frenzy, Blackout, Barricade, Scorponok, Brawl and Bonecrusher.

As a reward, Megatron puts Starscream in command of the Maximal base with Blackarachnia and Scorponok while he return to the Predacon base with the other Predacons.

A massive battle takes place in which Optimus Prime, killed by Megatron in an earlier battle, is revived and many Decepticons are killed, including Devastator, Scorponok and the Fallen but Megatron and Starscream escape, albeit with Megatron severely injured and the Decepticon spymaster Soundwave also survives, having never participated in the battle.

Ratbat's death in the Underbase affair allowed a triumvirate of three Decepticons-Siezer, Legonis and Octus-to established themselves as rulers on Cybertron while Scorponok led on Earth, but following their destruction by Megatron, and his own subsequent disappearance, their appointed replacement, Thunderwing, took control and dispatched the Mayhem Attack Squad to track down the Autobot Pretenders.

The two evil warriors had another trick up their sleeves-Dark Scorponok, resurrected after his death at the hands of Megatron in the Energon comics, as a zombie-like creature that can drain the energy of others.

However, Shockwave was left out of the original film as the lineup eventually ended up as Megatron, Starscream, Scorponok, Frenzy, Barricade, Bonecrusher, Blackout ( who replaced Soundwave ) and Brawl ( misnamed Devastator ).

Megatron lost Terrorsaur and Scorponok in the surge, but also gained a more powerful transmetal form.

In a possible future ( told from the perspective of an aged Rodimus Prime ) Scorponok battled against Shockwave and Megatron for leadership of the Decepticons.

When civil war broke out on the planet Cybertron between the Autobots and Decepticons, Scorponok joined with the Decepticons under Megatron.

While Waspinator and Terrorsaur stole a ship, Megatron, Dinobot and Scorponok stole the Golden Disk, battling the guards and destroying one, disabling a second, and leaving a third to commandeer a ship to pursue them.

Scorponok also didn't get along with Terrorsaur, because Terrorsaur always wanted to usurp Megatron.

Scorponok was arguably the lone original Predacon who was completely loyal to Megatron ; the other 4 original Predacons-Terrorsaur, Tarantulas, Waspinator, and Dinobot-all tried to usurp Megatron's position of leader at one point of the first season.

Sadly this was never reciprocated, and Megatron treated Scorponok as disposable as the rest of his minions.

" With their plan to destroy the Maximals thwarted, Megatron, Terrorsaur and Scorponok returned to their base which proved to play a significant part of the demise of Terrorsaur and Scorponok when their base was hit by the Quantum Surge.

According to his biography published in the Beast Wars Sourcebook Scorponok actually survived the events of season 2 and was turned into a transmetal scorpion, but he remained trapped in the magma, unable to escape until after Megatron was defeated and the Maximals left with him for Cybertron.

Scorponok managed to turn several Decepticons to his and Alpha Q's side, until Megatron was resurrected.

Although Scorponok tried to kill the newly reborn Decepticon Leader, Megatron predictably beat Scorponok brutally for trying to usurp the power of Decepticon Leader, and branded him with a Decepticon symbol.

However, both Ratbat and Scorponok independently suspected that the Autobot leader Optimus Prime had plans to seize the power of the Underbase for himself, and they set out to stop them.

In this series Scorponok was leader of a troop of Decepticons who were summoned to the planet Nebulos by Lord Zarak, a corrupt politician who was intent on removing Fortress Maximus and other Autobots who had previously settled on the planet.

Now aware of Megatron's intentions for Earth, Scorponok had his mole in Skywatch ( a legitimate government anti-Transformer organization ) sabotage Grimlock's reawakening.

Grimlock escaped, but Scorponok had his agents prepare to take control of the rst of the Dynobots, planning on letting Skywatch kill off Grimlock for them ( Spotlight: Grimlock ).

Scorponok had several important roles in season one, like finding an old Predacon cannon ( which he almost lost to Cheetor ), and then chased Cheetor in the Darksyde with Waspinator.

Scorponok had a biography printed in the Beast Wars Sourcebook by IDW Publishing.

In this new region of space, all of the planets consumed by Unicron had been recreated, but Scorponok was to meet an unfortunate fate as Megatron completely reprogrammed him, turning him into a true Decepticon.

During his alliance with the Autobots, Scorponok had earned an admirer in Ironhide, who attempted several times to make him remember who he was and to turn him away from Megatron's service.

However, first Ratbat's forces had to deal with a rival group of Decepticons under Scorponok, who had been called to Earth by Starscream, and the Seacons ' combined mode of Piranacon was put to use in an attempt to destroy his ship.

Punch later reported on Scorponok's ascension to the position of Decepticon emperor, but when the Decepticons returned to Earth after a trip to Planet Master, Punch was left with no information to give – after Punch had disembarked Scorponok, the massive Decepticon had vanished before he could even turn around.

Shadowing his earlier rivalry with Scorponok, Inferno had somewhat of a rivalry with the Transmetal II Dinobot clone, whose seeming loyalty to Megatron's rivaled his own.

Scorponok also had a massive Transtector constructed for himself, dubbed Mega Zarak ( Scorponok ), harnessing the plasma energy released from the destruction of Cybertron he had engineered to power it.

Attempting to protect himself by entering into an alliance with Scorponok and revealing Galvatron's plan to him, Sixshot returned to Planet Master with him once Galvatron had been destroyed by the Autobots.

Unaware that Scorponok had deliberately abandoned him, Sixshot caught up with his fellow Decepticons in the Sol system asteroid belt, and the animosity between him and Chromedome exploded when he challenged the Headmasters to a duel.

Prior to the launch of the next Japanese series, Super-God Masterforce, an epilogue to Headmasters was published in Japan's TV Magazine, which revealed that Sixshot had continued to aid the Autobots in his own way, revealing to them that Scorponok still lived following the final confrontation at the North Pole, and warning them of the existence of Devil Z.

No origin for them was explicitly offered-they suddenly appeared towards the end of the series when Scorponok and the Decepticons returned to Planet Master ; presumably, they had remained on the planet when Scorponok and his troops departed prior to the start of the series.

It is worth noting here that, with the exception of Scorponok, none of the Terrorcons had any personality and were portrayed as mindless drones who achieved their objectives by weight of numbers.

Additionally, Starscream ( Nightscream in Japan ) is suffering from memory loss ( deliberately done by Alpha Q ), at one point querying Scorponok as to why he kept calling him Starscream.

During the battle, all the Decepticons are destroyed, except for Starscream, Barricade and Scorponok, but the Autobots lose one of their members, Jazz.

He swiftly gathered a crew of like-minded individuals and, while Waspinator and Terrorsaur stole a ship, he, Dinobot and Scorponok stole the disk, battling the guards and destroying one, leaving the other to commandeer a ship to pursue them.

While that would be the last the U. S. comics saw of Scorponok, he put in one additional appearance in the U. K. comics.

Scorponok speaks only one line of dialogue-" Autobots!

Here, Zarak ( known as Scorponok in Japan ) is one such robot.

Just before the Great Shutdown, Scorponok was one of the leaders of the Decepticons, under Shockwave.

Scorponok was one of the original members of Megatron's Darksyde crew who stole the Golden Disk artifact from the Cybertron archives in Beast Wars.

: A new mold for Scorponok as a Legends figure, slightly larger than the one included with Blackout and able to transform to robot mode.

He was subsequently on Earth for the arrival of the Omnicons, and was one of the defenders of the Autobot base alongside Overload and Dropshot, but was easily defeated by Scorponok.
