`` Section 2::

In carrying out his functions under Section 2 of this Act, the Secretary may -- ( A )

Section 4 of the joint resolution of September 2, 1958 ( 72 Stat. 1707 ; ;

and ( 2 ) such other special funds as may, in the discretion of the Secretary of the Treasury, be required each to be a claims fund to be known by the name of the foreign government which has entered into a settlement agreement with the Government of the United States as described in subsection ( A ) of Section 4 of this Title.

In order to assist the States in maintaining basic vocational rehabilitation services, Section 2 of the amended Act provides that allotments to States for support of such services be based on ( 1 ) need, as measured by a State's population, and ( 2 ) fiscal capacity, as measured by its per capita income.

With respect to Article 2,, paragraphs 1 ( B ) and 1 ( C ): Uses of Section 104 ( E ) and Section 104 ( G ) rupees: The Government of India will use the amount of rupees granted or loaned to it by the United States pursuant to paragraphs 1 ( B ) and 1 ( C ) for projects to promote economic development with emphasis upon the agricultural sector including food reserve storage structures and facilities as may from time to time be agreed upon by the authorized representatives of the United States and the authorized representatives of the Government of India, in the following sectors: A.

: Section 16 ( 1 )( a ) of the Customs and Excise Management Act 1979 ( c. 2 ) provided that it was an offence to, amongst other things, assault any person duly engaged in the performance of any duty or the exercise of any power imposed or conferred on him by or under any enactment relating to an assigned matter, or any person acting in his aid.

Under Section 2 ( b ) of the Contempt of Courts Act of 1971, civil contempt has been defined as wilful disobedience to any judgment, decree, direction, order, writ or other process of a court or wilful breach of an undertaking given to a court.

Under Section 2 ( c ) of the Contempt of Courts Act of 1971, criminal contempt has been defined as the publication ( whether by words, spoken or written, or by signs, or by visible representation, or otherwise ) of any matter or the doing of any other act whatsoever which:

Section 2 of the Act limits the common law presumption that conduct may be treated as contempt regardless of intention: now only cases where there is a substantial risk of serious prejudice to a trial are affected.

The main rights and freedoms are contained in Section I, which consists of Articles 2 to 18.

; Assault on a constable in the execution of his duty: Section 89 ( 1 ) of the Police Act 1996 provides that it is an offence for a person to assault either:

; Cruelty to persons under sixteen: Section 1 ( 1 ) of the Children and Young Persons Act 1933 provides that it is an offence for a person who has attained the age of sixteen years, and who has responsibility for a child or young person under that age, to, amongst other things, wilfully assault that child or young person, or to cause or procure that child or young person to be assaulted, in a manner likely to cause him unnecessary suffering or injury to health.

Section 1110 () generally provides a secured party with an interest in an aircraft the ability to take possession of the equipment within 60 days after a bankruptcy filing unless the airline cures all defaults.

Section 1 of the Criminal Procedure ( Insanity and Unfitness to Plead ) Act 1991 provides that a jury shall not return a special verdict that " the accused is not guilty by reason of insanity " except on the written or oral evidence of two or more registered medical practitioners of whom at least one has special experience in the field of mental disorder.

On the other hand, the Access Board's Standards are enforceable as law, and Section 508 provides remedies to those aggrieved by violations of this requirement, which, after administrative remedies are exhausted, allow for both private rights of action in court and for reasonable attorneys fees.

Section 4 now provides that contracts of guarantee ( surety for another's debt ) are unenforceable unless evidenced in writing.

Section 322 ( 1 ) of the Criminal Code of Canada provides the general definition for theft in Canada:

Where a motor vehicle is stolen, Section 333. 1 provides for a maximum punishment of 10 years for an indictable offence ( and a minimum sentence of six months for a third or subsequent conviction ), and a maximum sentence of 18 months on summary conviction.

Section 16 provides that nothing in Part 2 repeals or affects anything enacted by the Treason Act 1351 ( 25 Edw. 3 c. 2 ).

Section Three also provides that the Vice President of the United States shall be President of the Senate but shall have only a tie-breaking vote.

Section Four gives to state legislatures the power to set the " times, Places and Manner of holding elections for Senators and Representatives ," but provides for Congressional oversight of elections.

Section Six provides that members of Congress shall receive salaries, have a limited privilege from arrest during sessions of Congress, and immunity " for any Speech or Debate in either House.

Section Two provides for the election of the House of Representatives every second year.

Section 2, Clause 4, provides that when vacancies occur in the House of Representatives, it is not the job of the House of Representatives to arrange for a replacement, but the job of the State whose vacant seat is up for refilling.

Section Two further provides that the House of Representatives may choose its Speaker and its other officers.

Section Three provides that each state is entitled to two Senators chosen for a term of six years.

Section Three of Article I is one of a handful of clauses on which Article Five places special restrictions to be amended ; in this case, Article Five provides that " no State, without its Consent, shall be deprived of its equal Suffrage in the Senate.

Section Three provides that the Vice President is the President of the Senate.
