The 2000 Flint Generals were coached by former NHLer Doug Shedden and included former Toronto Maple Leaf Bobby Reynolds, former Detroit Red Wing Mark Major, former Edmonton Oiler Nick Stajuhar, two 100 point scorers in Ross Wilson and Don Parsons, UHL Defenseman of the Year Gary Roach, high flying late season additions Cory Cyrenne and Vladmir Serov, and goalie Mark Richards.

He had also started meeting other important figures who would abet him in this goal in 1856, including César Cui, Alexander Serov, the Stasov brothers and Alexander Dargomyzhsky.

During his late period, which began in 1900, Serov was a member of " The World of art ", an influential Russian art association and magazine which grew, in part, out of dissatisfaction with the Itinerants movement.

While addressing images from the ancient tradition, Serov endowed classical subject matter with a personal interpretation.

The Government Delegate, together with most members of the Council of National Unity and the Commander-in-chief of the Armia Krajowa, were invited by Soviet general Ivan Serov with agreement of Joseph Stalin to a conference on their eventual entry to the Soviet-backed Provisional Government.
