Shandong Cuisine ( 鲁菜 ） is commonly and simply known as Lu cuisine.

Shandong Cuisine is featured by a variety of cooking techniques and seafood.

As Beijing has been the capital of China for centuries, its cuisine is influenced by culinary traditions from all over China, but the style that has the greatest influence on Beijing cuisine is that of the eastern coastal province of Shandong.

Shandong was one of the first places in which the Boxer Rebellion started and became one of the centers of the uprising.

Shandong was occupied in its entirety by Japan, with resistance continuing in the countryside, and was one of the provinces where a scorched earth policy (" Three Alls Policy ": " kill all ", " burn all ", " loot all ") was implemented by general Yasuji Okamura.

In recent years Shandong, especially eastern Shandong, has enjoyed significant economic development, becoming one of the richest provinces of the People's Republic of China.

Shandong is the biggest industrial producer and one of the top manufacturing provinces in China.

In the Eastern Zhou Dynasty ( 770BC ~ 256BC ), the town of Jimo was established, which was then the second largest one in the Shandong region.

Chai Ling (; Pinyin: Chái Líng ) ( born April 15, 1966 in Rizhao, Shandong Province, People's Republic of China ) was one of the student leaders in the Tian ' anmen Square protests of 1989.

On May 4, 1919, students in Beijing protested the Paris Peace Conference giving German rights over Shandong to Imperial Japan, turning this cultural movement into a political one in what became known as the May Fourth Movement.

The university was first set up in 1924 as a private institution and, with the founding of Shandong College of Oceanology ( 山东海洋学院 ) in 1959, became one of the thirteen national key universities in October 1960.

Kunlun Mountain Fist is a style associated with the Kunlun mountain range, although similarities between this style and Kunlunquan, as well as the name of one of the forms ( White Cloud Mountain Fist ) suggest that this style may be associated with Kunlun Mountain in Shandong province

On 31 January 2008, the Bank signed an agreement with Yantai City Commercial Bank, the second largest city commercial bank in Shandong Province, to acquire 4. 99 % of Yantai City Commercial Bank ’ s enlarged capital and became one of the key shareholders.

Weihai lies in the transition zone between a Humid subtropical and humid continental climate ( Köppen Cwa / Dwa ), but as it is at the eastern end of the Shandong Peninsula, its climate is strongly influenced by the surrounding Yellow Sea: springtime warming and autumn cooling are delayed by one month, winds are generally high, and the average diurnal temperature throughout the year is small — at only.
