Once a small village hamlet in the parish of Edmonton, Winchmore Hill now borders with Palmers Green, Southgate, Edmonton, and Grange Park.

Lincoln Park borders the cities of Detroit, Allen Park, Melvindale, Ecorse, Wyandotte and Southgate.

Its borders are Kingsland Road in the east, Southgate Road to the west, the Regent's Canal in the south and Tottenham Road to the north.

These are the official borders ; however, some residents to the west of Southgate Road in the London Borough of Islington also consider themselves to be within this highly desirable area of central north London.

Organized in 1827, the entire township has since been incorporated, and includes the cities of Melvindale, Allen Park, Lincoln Park, River Rouge, Ecorse, Southgate, Wyandotte, and a small part of the city of Detroit.

Cruisin ' Downriver is an annual car show and cruise that takes place on M-85 / Fort St. in the Downriver cities of Southgate, Riverview, Wyandotte, and Lincoln Park.

Included are the incorporated cities of Milwaukie, Happy Valley, and Johnson City, parts of Damascus, and the neighborhoods of Oak Grove, Concord, Clackamas, Sunnyside, Mount Scott, Southgate, and Carver.

The cruise stretches between Sibley Road in Riverview and Outer Drive in Lincoln Park and additionally passes through the cities of Southgate and Wyandotte.

Wyandotte is bounded by Southgate ( west ), Lincoln Park ( northwest ), Riverview ( south, Ecorse ( north ) and Lasalle ( east ).

Communities that developed further south — like Southgate, Taylor, Riverview, and Trenton — in the 1950s-1970s are more closely identified as tract homes and subdivisions.

* New Southgate to the south

A little further to the south was another small medieval settlement called South Street which had grown up around a village green ; by 1829 the two settlements had merged and the village green became today's Southgate Green.

Other notable pubs include Ye Olde Cherry Tree which overlooks Southgate Green to the south of Southgate's main centre, and The Woodman which is on The Bourne.

Originally, South Salt Lake was made up of three distinct unincorporated areas: Millcreek to the north, Central Park ( which was the area between 300 East and State Street and 2700 to 3000 South ) and Southgate to the south.

The boundaries of Hackney with the neighbouring boroughs were adjusted slightly in 1900: Hackney gained the east side of Bethune Road from Stoke Newington and the south side of Balls Pond Road from Islington ; it lost the west side of Southgate Road to Islington.

In the early 21st century, commercial development spread along Southgate Avenue south of the railway line: a series of seven-storey office blocks were built.

Southgate is south of the Northgate neighbourhood ( which includes Crawley town centre ) and West Green ; the Arun Valley railway line forms the boundary.

The A2219 Brighton Road, part of the original turnpike, coaching route and later main road from London to Brighton, runs through the heart of Southgate from north to south.

Northgate and the town centre lie to the east, Southgate is to the south, Ifield is to the west and Langley Green shares a border to the north.

It is bordered by the districts of Furnace Green to the north east, Southgate to the north west and Broadfield to the south west.

Gossops Green is located in the west of the town and is bordered by Bewbush to the south west, Ifield to the north and Southgate to the east across the ring road.

Northgate is bordered by West Green to the west, Langley Green to the north, Three Bridges to the east and Southgate to the south.

The Bowes Park area to the south of the constituency is solidly Labour, but overall Southgate tends to be a middle-class Conservative area.

The station broadcasts its main signal from its site at Krell Hill, a. k. a. " Tower Mountain ", with its general studios at Joel E. Ferris High School in the Southgate neighborhood on Spokane's south side.

Southgate Centre is a shopping centre located in south Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and is the third-largest mall in the city, after West Edmonton Mall and Kingsway Mall.

Dundalk ( named after Dundalk in Ireland ), originally called McDowell's Corners, was incorporated as a village in 1887, and on January 1, 2000, was amalgamated with the Township of Proton and the Township of Egremont to form the Township of Southgate, located in the southeast corner of Grey County.

Dundalk's schools are nearly the largest in Southgate: Proton Community School ( K-3 ), and Highpoint Community School ( 4-8 ).

In 1933, the North Circular Road was completed through Edmonton and Southgate, and also in 1933, the London Underground Piccadilly Line was extended from Arnos Grove ( where it had reached the previous year ), through Southgate tube station, on to Enfield West ( now known as Oakwood ).

The city of Southgate features the Splash Park / Downriver YMCA ( also called Southgate Fun & Fitness Centre ), as well as the Michigan headquarters for the Sonic Drive-In fast food restaurant chain.

TVS was formed to apply for the franchise for South and South-East of England in the 1980 ITV franchise round under the working title of South and South-East Communications Limited, following discussions between James Gatward ( a television producer ), Bob Southgate ( a television executive who had previously worked at ITN and Thames Television ) and Martin Jackson ( a journalist ).

West End Shops are currently located in Toronto ( Queen Street and Bloor Street stores ), Downtown Montreal, Ottawa Rideau Centre, Downtown Calgary, Edmonton Southgate Shopping Centre, and Downtown Vancouver.

The six malls are The Plaza ( development started in 1972 ), Princes Mall ( 1984 ), Olympia ( 1988 ), Southgate ( 1989 ), Princes Square ( 1997 ) and Centre West ( 2003 ).

After the entire branch had transferred to the rival National Union of Corporation Workers ( NUCW ), the branch grew to 1, 100 of the 1, 300 London firemen and to protect the then branch secretary from potential dismissal, sub-officer E. W. Southgate handed over branch secretaryship to Jim Bradley, a London park-keeper who had been nominated by the union's executive.

The highway returns to a due northerly course near Memorial Park and continues along the Southgate – Wyandotte city line.

The development was intended to take place in two stages: Southgate East, east of the Brighton Road, was to have been built in the early 1950s, and land west of Brighton Road ( Southgate West ) was to be reserved for expansion of the neighbourhood in the early 1960s.

It is bordered by Bewbush to the north, Southgate to the north east and Tilgate to the east.

The centre of Friern Barnet is formed by the busy intersection of Colney Hatch Lane ( which runs north-south ), Woodhouse Road ( which takes west-bound traffic into Finchley ) and Friern Barnet Road ( which leads east towards New Southgate ).
