Envisioned since the 1880s, the bridge was designed by engineer David B. Steinman and completed in 1957 only after many decades of struggles to begin construction.

The track " This Corrosion " was produced by Steinman, and the track " Dominion / Mother Russia " was co-produced by Steinman, along with Larry Alexander and Andrew Eldritch.

Designed by internationally renowned engineer David B. Steinman ( 1886 – 1960 ) and Holton D. Robinson, of New York, the St. Johns was the longest suspension-type bridge west of the Mississippi River at the time of construction.
