On June 24, 2004, the General Secretary of JCOCI, Habib Dodo, was murdered by Student Federation of Côte d ' Ivoire activists.

The LGBT Student Union of Florida State University currently maintains video footage from the SUN Conference, a meeting of LGBT student activists in the state of Florida that occurred in the 1970s.

* In 2004, the Tunisian Community Center launched the first Ibn Khaldun award for the Tunisian American Student of the Year, as an honor to Ibn Khaldun's contribution in Tunisia.

The Student Life Centre, a joint venture between Conestoga College and Conestoga Students Inc.
