Mahadeva Subramania Mani ( March 2, 1908 in Tanjore, Tamilnadu-January 8, 2003 in Bangalore ) was an Indian entomologist especially famous for his studies on high altitude entomology.

Pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswati ji was born as Natarajan in Manjakudi-Thiruvarur district of Tamil Nadu on August 15, 1930 to Shri Gopal Iyer and Smt.

It was Iyer who introduced the mode of chanting the Gita verses ( or for that matter, Sanskrit verses that follow the same metre as the Gita verses ) that is still followed by Chinmaya Mission, Arsha Vidya Centres and others as well.

Sri Ramana Maharshi ( Tamil: ரமண மஹர ி ஷ ி) ( December 30, 1879 – April 14, 1950 ), born Venkataraman Iyer, was a Hindu spiritual master (" jnani ").

Justice Iyer was Home Minister and minister for law, power, prisons, irrigation and social welfare in the Government of the State of Kerala following the victory of the Communist Party of India under E. M. S. Namboodiripad in the 1957 elections.
