The Tasmanian Tiger roller coaster was sold to the zoo by Herschend Family Entertainment Corporation and moved from Wild Adventures theme park in Valdosta, Georgia.

In 1985 Hunt's Pier was sold and re-emerged in 1989 as The New Hunt's Pier, retaining many of the rides operated by the original Hunt's Pier and adding a steel roller coaster called the Kamikaze.

It was inspired by this team's previous design, Dreier Looping, a portable coaster that travelled the German funfair circuit, before being sold to a succession of amusement parks in Malaysia, Great Britain, and most recently, Mexico.

From 1996 to 1999, Premier would also install a new roller coaster each year, Nightmare at Phantom Cave in 1996, Mind Eraser in 1997, Boomerang: Coast to Coaster in 1998, and Superman Ride of Steel ( the world's first Intamin hypercoaster ) in 1999.

Premier Parks invested $ 9 million in new rides, including the Mind Eraser ( a steel looping shuttle Boomerang roller coaster ) and Grizzly Run, a water rapids ride designed by Intamin.

Space Mountain is the name of a space-themed indoor roller coaster attraction located at all five Magic Kingdom-style Disney Parks.

However, B & M was busy creating two stand-up coasters for Paramount Parks ( one at California's Great America and the other at Carowinds ) and preparing to debut its first inverted coaster, Batman: The Ride at Six Flags Great America.

Ocean County is part of the New York metropolitan area, however, it is actually in the southern part of New Jersey and is home to many tourist attractions frequently visited by Delaware Valley residents, especially the beachfront communities of Seaside Heights and Long Beach Island, as well as Six Flags Great Adventure, which is the home of the world's tallest and formerly fastest roller coaster, Kingda Ka.

Jackson's most famous attraction is Six Flags Great Adventure, which as of 2010 is home to the tallest roller coaster in the world: Kingda Ka.

The gardens were opened in honour of Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee, and contained a large lake, which covered, and what can only be described as a small early version of a roller coaster, known as a switchback ( an alternative general term for a roller coaster ).

Despite the high-minded educational tone that Grover Whalen attempted to set, the " Amusements Area " was the most popular part of the Fair and included roller coaster, the Life Savers parachute jump ( which was later moved to Coney Island where it still stands ), and carnival acts such as a collection of performing midgets.

In 1979 Bobbejaanland opened the Looping Star roller coaster ( Zwartzkopf ), which became a ride with a certain cult satus over the years.

In 1977, construction began on a steel looping shuttle coaster called Lightnin ' Loops ( which was removed in 1992 ).

Sarajevo Bobsleds was removed to make room for the new coaster, The Great American Scream Machine, which opened in April 1989.

In 2006, a wooden twister coaster called El Toro was added in the spot formerly occupied by Viper, along with a new themed area, and another kiddie ride area to replace Bugs Bunny Land which was retired at the end of 2004.

Other attractions include the TurboRide 3D Theatre, which sits directly underneath the Mindbender, the privately owned Haunted Castle and Fun House ( also beneath the Mindbender ), the Autosled roller coaster which is a tamer alternative to the Mindbender, the Swing of the Century, and Galaxy Kids, a large play area for young children.
