The DAA have finally approved the € 8m for the establishment of the Lynx cargo project and this funding will be matched by a € 12m investment by Lynx.

The project has a projected cost of approximately € 320 million, where € 120 million are allocated for modernizing the Soyuz vehicle.

On 16 June 2006, the French prime minister and regional authorities announced a € 164 million project ( Projet Mont-Saint-Michel ) to build a hydraulic dam using the waters of the river Couesnon and of tides to help remove the accumulated silt deposited by the rising tides, and to make Mont-Saint-Michel an island again.

Pierre Sarkozy, first son of then President Nicolas Sarkozy, asked SCPP for a financial help in September 2009 of around € 10000 towards an (€ 80000 ) artistic project.

The tunnel project is a PPP ( Public Private Partnership ), and will cost roughly € 660m.

The cost of the project is estimated to be between € 450-600 million.

Following an announcement by the Science Foundation Ireland in November 2007, DCU will receive over € 16. 8m in research funding for localisation research for a € 30. 4m " Next Generation Localisation " project headed by Prof. Josef Van Genabith ( with international and domestic industry partners contributing the remaining € 13. 6m ).

The project was funded by donations from around the world, totaling more than € 380, 000.
