* 1846 – Bear Flag Revolt begins – Anglo settlers in Sonoma, California, start a rebellion against Mexico and proclaim the California Republic.

Meanwhile, Army captain John C. Frémont led settlers in northern California to overthrow the Mexican garrison in Sonoma ( in the Bear Flag Revolt ).

Turning south from Klamath Lake, Frémont led his expedition back down the Sacramento Valley, and promoted the Bear Flag Revolt, an insurrection of United States immigrant settlers.

John C. Frémont and his " California Battalion " used the Mission as a base of operations during their war with Mexico in 1846 ( see Bear Flag Revolt ).

The Mission was used by John C. Fremont as his headquarters during the battles to make California a United States possession ( see Bear Flag Revolt ).

In 1846, white American settlers took over the town in what has come to be known as the " Bear Flag Revolt.

In 1846, with the arrival of USS Congress, Frémont was appointed lieutenant colonel of the California Battalion, also called U. S. Mounted Rifles, which he had helped form with his survey crew and volunteers from the Bear Flag Republic, now totaling 428 men.

Mexico then lost Alta California to the United States during the period following the Bear Flag Revolt and the Mexican-American War. Cypress, California City Council Chamber, originally designed by William L. Pereira and Associates, located next to City Hall.

When the American immigrants attempted to overthrow the Mexican government in the Bear Flag Revolt, they imprisoned Vallejo in the town jail and declared Sonoma capital of the " Republic of California ".

Sonoma is known as the birthplace of American California, for it was in this town plaza that the Bear Flag Revolt took place and a Bear Flag was first raised on June 14, 1846.

General Vallejo was imprisoned during the Bear Flag Revolt of 1846, and he later transferred his allegiance to the U. S. and endorsed California statehood ( 1850 ).

His residence in Sonoma was the site for a portion of the Bear Flag revolt which made California a Republic.

* Bear Flag Monument (# 7 )-On June 14, 1846, the Bear Flag Party raised the Bear Flag in the Sonoma plaza and declared California free from Mexican rule.

Rising up in tandem with the Olympia, Washington-based riot grrrl movement led by feminist bands such as Bikini Kill, Huggy Bear called themselves " boy-girl revolutionaries ," both in reference to their political philosophy and the gender makeup of their band.

Even the knowledge that she was losing another boy, as a mother always does when a marriage is made, did not prevent her from having the first carefree, dreamless sleep that she had known since they dropped down the canyon and into Bear Valley, way, way back there when they were crossing those other mountains.

In 1237 and 1244 two towns, Cölln and Berlin were founded during the rule of Otto and Johann, grandsons of Margrave Albert the Bear, ( later they were united into one city, Berlin ).

The seven largest Wall Street firms in the 2000s ( decade ) were Bear Stearns, JPMorgan Chase, Citigroup Incorporated, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch and Lehman Brothers.

Multiple ferries were established on the Missouri River, Kansas River, Little Blue River, Elkhorn River, Loup River, Platte River, South Platte River, North Platte River, Laramie River, Green River, Bear River, two crossings of the Snake River, John Day River, Deschutes River, Columbia River, as well as many other smaller streams.

* Payipwāt ( or Piapot: " who Knows the Secrets of the Sioux "), also known as " Hole in the Sioux " or Kisikawasan-‘ Flash in the Sky ’, Chief of the Cree-Assiniboine or the Young Dogs with great influence on neighboring Assiniboine, Downstream People, southern groups of the Upstream People and Saulteaux ( Plains Ojibwa ), born 1816, kidnapped as a child by the Sioux, he was freed about 1830 by Plains Cree, significant Shaman, most influential chief of the feared Young Dogs, convinced the Plains Cree to expand west in the Cypress Hills, the last refugee for bison groups, therefore disputed border area between Sioux, Assiniboine, Siksika Kainai and Cree, refused to participate in the raid on a Kainai camp near the present Lethbridge, Alberta, then the Young Dogs and their allies were content with the eastern Cypress Hills to the Milk River, Montana, does not participate at the negotiations on the Treaty 4 of 1874, he and Cheekuk, the most important chief of the Plains Ojibwa in the Qu ' Appelle area, signed on 9 September 1875 the treaty only as preliminary contract, tried with the chiefs of the River Cree Minahikosis (" Little Pine ") and Mistahi-maskwa (" Big Bear ") to erect a kind of Indian Territory for all the Plains Cree, Plains Ojibwa and Assiniboine-as Ottawa refused, he asked 1879-80 along with Kiwisünce ( cowessess-' Little Child ') and the Assiniboine for adjacent reserves in the Cypress Hills, Payipwāt settled in a reserve about 37 miles northeast of Fort Walsh, Minahikosis (" Little Pine ") and Papewes (‘ Lucky Man ’) asked successfully for reserves near the Assiniboine or Payipwāt-this allowed the Cree and Assiniboine to preserve their autonomy-because they went 1881 in Montana on bison hunting, stole Absarokee horses and alleged cattle killed, arrested the U. S. Army the Cree-Assiniboine group, disarmed and escorted them back to Canada-now unarmed, denied rations until the Cree and Assiniboine gave up their claims to the Cypress Hills and went north-in the following years the reserves changed several times and the tribes were trying repeated until to the Northwest Rebellion in 1885 to build an Indian Territory, Payipwāt remained under heavy guard, until his death he was a great spiritual leader, therefore Ottawa deposed Payipwāt on 15 April 1902 as chief, died in April 1908 on Piapot Reserve, Saskatchewan )

* Papewes ( Papaway-‘ Lucky Man ’, Chief of the Plains River Cree ( Sīpīwininiwak-paskwāwiyiniwak ), born in the late 1830s near Fort Pitt, was in the 1870s a leader of Mistahimaskwa ´ s Plains River Cree, as the bison disappeared, signed along with Little Pine on the 2nd July 1879 for the 470 members of his tribal group an annex to the Agreement No. 6 at Fort Walsh, in vain he asked for a reserve in the Cypress Hills and the Buffalo Lake, so many members went back to Mistahimaskwa (" Big Bear ") or joined Minahikosis (" Little Pine "), Papewes asked 1884 in vain a reserve adjacent to the reserves of Pitikwahanapiwiyin (' Poundmaker '), Minahikosis and Mistahimaskwa, during the rebellion of 1885 were the two groups of Papewes and Minahikosis scattered and some of their members fled in the U. S., 1886 settled the remaining members of the two groups in the Little Pine's reserve died 1901 nahe Fort Assiniboine, Montana )

Favorites on the show were Grandfather Clock ( voiced by Cosmo Allegretti ), Rollo the Hippo and Dancing Bear.

Bear Mountain / Harriman State Park became a reality in 1910, and by 1914 it was estimated that more than a million people a year were coming to the park.

From 1959 to 1960 series Loopy De Loop and The Flintstones, softly orchestrated themes, some of them almost sounding concrete music and some played only by accordion, were used in other H-B cartons between 1961 and 1963 – like Top Cat, Snagglepuss, Touché Turtle, Wally Gator and the Yogi Bear and Huckleberry Hound 1961 seasons and all of its segments – and eventually between 1964 and 1967, and rarely then until the eighties.

On June 3, 1885, a small detachment of North-West Mounted Police under the command of Major Sam Steele caught up to a band of Cree led by Big Bear who were moving northward after their victory at Frenchman's Butte.

Poundmaker and Big Bear were sentenced to prison, and eight other Aboriginal leaders were hanged.

* Keskayiwew ( Kiskiyew, Kiskiyo-Bobtail, also known as Alexis Piche, Chief of the Bear Hills Cree ( Maskwa-wachi-is Ininiwak ), son of Pesew (‘ Mountain Lion ’), brother of Ermineskin, became chief after the death of his older brother, was elected instead of Maskepetoon (' Broken Arm ') to the chieftainship of the Rocky Cree and later became head chief of the Western Cree (‘ Pakisimotan Wi Iniwak ’) and soon after became the head chief of all the groups of the Upstream People )

Further products were to follow, and they were soon loaded on to the Soviet Air Force's Tu-95 Bear and Tu-22 Blinder bombers, in the case of the air-launched KS-1 Komet.

Set around the late 1920s, Maple Town Monogatari tells the story of Patty Rabbit, who soon after arriving in Maple Town, befriends a boy her age, Bobby Bear, while at the same time antagonizing the sly — if usually " endearingly " unsuccessful — thief, Wild Wolf.

By 1863, according to Hudson's Bay Company ( HBC ) records, Big Bear was leading a large number of Cree near Fort Carlton, but soon moved to the area near Fort Pitt where he lived with a much smaller group.

King Kong and Bear Foot each followed Bigfoot to tires, and soon other monster trucks, such as King Krunch, Maddog, and Virginia Giant were being constructed.

Despite a lukewarm response for their first theatrical venture, Loopy De Loop, Hanna – Barbera soon established themselves with two successful television series: The Huckleberry Hound Show and The Yogi Bear Show.

Chief Little Bear soon followed Rocky Boy with his own band, arriving with about 200 Cree.

Victor E. Bear came about in 1999 and Victoria E. Bear came soon after.

Both artists received significant exposure in the indie music scene following critical acclaim from review site Pitchfork Media and soon more artists began experimenting with the genre, including Grizzly Bear and Grouper.

As soon as weather permitted, Italia took off for Kings Bay at 20: 34 on 5 May, and by 05: 30 had passed the meteorological station on Bear Island, but ran into high winds shortly after, also suffering an engine failure.

Then, after a confrontation with them at a picnic (" Get a Lot ") Wish Bear accidentally wishes Twinkers away to the new bears ; they soon abuse the star's power with an amusement park focusing on Me Bear, a mud pie for Messy Bear, and a huge noisy motorcycle for Too Loud Bear.
