A Blu-ray and DVD release of season 9, titled Beavis and Butt-head-Volume 4, was released on February 14, 2012 in the United States.

Media Blasters originally planned to release Godzilla vs. Megalon on DVD and Blu-ray on December 20, 2011 ; however, due to technical difficulties with the dubbing and Toho yet to give its approval for the release, the DVD / Blu-ray release was delayed.

On August 2, 2010, The Rocky Horror Picture Show Official Fan Club announced the release of the 35th Anniversary edition Blu-ray in the US for October 19, 2010.

On February 17, 2009 – Paramount announced the Season 1 of TOS on Blu-ray Disc for a May release to coincide with the new feature film coming from Paramount.

Although the show was produced with HDTV in mind, CBS Home Entertainment currently has no plans to release the show on Blu-ray.

In March 2009 it was announced that the film would skip theatrical release altogether, and go straight to DVD / Blu-ray.

Amazon. com lists season one of Seinfeld in Blu-ray, though no release date has been announced.

This version of the film is featured both on the original 2001 DVD release and the remastered 2008 DVD as well as Blu-ray.

In August 2008, the BFI announced a new release of Salò on both high-definition Blu-ray and standard-definition DVD, claiming it to be " fully uncut and in its most complete version ," and that " the film has been re-mastered from the original Italian restoration negatives " and would be accompanied by a second disc containing extensive additional features.

Currently, there are no known plans to release the film on DVD or Blu-ray in North America.

The film was released on Blu-ray on July 05, 2011 containing all of the special features found on the 2008 DVD release.

On November 1, 2011, along with the DVD and Blu-ray release of Cars 2, Toy Story and the other two films were released on each Blu-ray / Blu-ray 3D / DVD / Digital Copy combo pack ( 4 discs each for the first two films, and 5 for the third film ).

Since consumers are highly unlikely to buy new hardware for the sole purpose of preserving copy protection, manufacturers have been prevented from enhancing their DRM technology until recently, with the release of next-generation media such as HD DVD and Blu-ray Disc.
