Quiz bowl is also known by various other names, such as Academic Bowl, Academic Challenge, Academic League, Academic Team, Battle of the Brains, Brain Bowl, BrainBusters, Brain Game, College Bowl, Brain Brawl, Brain Busters, It's Academic, Knowledge Bowl, Scholar Quiz Bowl, Scholastic Bowl, Scholar's Bowl, Whiz Quiz, and Nerd-Squad.

The Foundation would continue feuding with Jimmy Hart's wrestlers for the next year, teaming with " Hacksaw " Jim Duggan to defeat Dino Bravo and The Rougeau's in a two out of three falls match at the 1989 Royal Rumble before defeating The Honky Tonk Man and Greg " The Hammer " Valentine at WrestleMania V. They then faced the Tag Team Champions the Brain Busters in a non-title match at SummerSlam 89 where they lost pushing then further from regaining their titles.

Upon being named the Brain Busters, the team took Bobby " The Brain " Heenan as their manager and quickly began rising through the tag team ranks, eventually coming to challenge Demolition for the WWF Tag Team Championship.

On July 18, 1989, the Brain Busters won the titles, ending Demolition's historic reign of 478 days ; the match would air on the July 29 edition of Saturday Night's Main Event.

Although they would lose the titles back to Demolition just over three months later, the Brain Busters continued to be a force in the WWF's tag team division.

Anderson and Blanchard were known as " The Brain Busters " in the WWF, and they were managed by Bobby " the Brain " Heenan.

Over Heenan's WWF career, the Heenan Family included Studd, Ken Patera, Paul " Mr. Wonderful " Orndorff, King Kong Bundy, André the Giant, High Chief Sivi Afi, The Brain Busters ( former Horsemen members Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard ), " Ravishing " Rick Rude, Harley Race, The Islanders ( Haku and Tama ), Hercules, The Barbarian, Mr Perfect, Terry Taylor, and The Brooklyn Brawler.

Shortly thereafter, he led the Brain Busters to the WWF World Tag Team championship giving Heenan not only the gratification of managing a champion, but managing two champions at the same time, equalling a feat achieved two years earlier by Jimmy Hart.

They made their WWF debut at a television taping on June 18, 1988 and they faced tag teams such as Demolition, The Hart Foundation, and the Brain Busters for the rest of 1989.

After WrestleMania V, Demolition started a feud with the Brain Busters ( Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard ), who were the members of the heel stable The Heenan Family.

On the May 27, 1989 edition of Saturday Night's Main Event, the Brain Busters defeated Demolition by disqualification.

They finally dropped the titles to the Brain Busters in a two out of three falls match on the July 29 edition of Saturday Night's Main Event.

Demolition focused on regaining the tag titles and restarted their feud with the Brain Busters.

On the November 4 edition of Superstars ( taped on October 2 ), Demolition defeated the Brain Busters to regain their tag titles and win their second WWF Tag Team Championship.

However, in their WrestleMania match against the Brain Busters ( Tully Blanchard and Arn Anderson ), Martel turned on Santana during the match, leaving Santana to face both opponents alone.

They eliminated The Bolsheviks from the match before being eliminated by a double-disqualification in a brawl with the Brain Busters.

The brawl between the Rockers and the Brain Busters led to a match taped for WWF Superstars of Wrestling where both teams were disqualified once again, this time before the match could really start.

The match saw the Brain Busters narrowly defeat the Rockers as Anderson held down Marty Jannetty's leg as Blanchard pinned him.

This storyline put the Rockers ' issues with the Brain Busters on the back burners while the Rockers and the Rougeaus fought.

Feilding also performed a self-trepanation with a drill, while Mellen shot the operation for the film Heartbeat in the Brain, which has since been lost.

He never lost his French accent when speaking English, Lord Brain saying of him at a meeting of physicians: " Dr Moore makes a tremendous effort to conceal his French intonation we all love so much.

The episode eventually lost to Pinky and the Brain.

However Brain's form dropped and in 1929-30 he lost out in competing for the front spot with Jack Lambert, David Jack and Dave Halliday all getting the nod ahead of him, meaning Brain only played six league matches this season.

In late 1989, the Rockers and the Brain Busters resumed their feud after the Brain Busters lost the WWF Tag Team Championship to Demolition.
