Chinese Islamic cuisine ( or ) is the cuisine of the Hui ( ethnic Chinese Muslims ) and other Muslims living in China.

Due to the large Muslim population in western China, many Chinese restaurants cater to, or are run by, Muslims.

Many Halal Chinese restaurants exist in New York City, owned by Hui Muslims.

Most Chinese regard Hui Halal food as cleaner than food made by non Muslims so their restaurants are popular in China.

It is a product of the Chinese Islamic cuisine of the Uyghur ( 维吾尔 ) people and other Chinese Muslims.

In 1939 Muslim leaders Isa Yusuf Alptekin and Ma Fuliang were sent by Chiang to several Middle eastern countries, including Egypt, Turkey, and Syria, to gain support for the Chinese War against Japan, and to express his support for Muslims.

The Chinese Muslim Association, a pro-Kuomintang and anti-Communist organization, was set up by Muslims working in his regime.

Modern engineering as it is understood today took form during the scientific revolution, though much of the mathematics and science was built on the work of the Greeks, Egyptians, Mesopotamians, Chinese, Indians and Muslims.

In 1951, in Taiwan, the Chinese Muslim Kuomintang General Bai Chongxi made a speech broadcast on radio to the entire Muslim world calling for a war against Russia, claiming that the " imperialist ogre " leader Stalin was engineering World War III, and Bai also called upon Muslims to avoid the Indian leader Jawaharlal Nehru, accusing him of being blind to Soviet imperialism.

The Chinese Muslim brotherhood became a Chinese nationalist organization and supported Kuomintang rule, Brotherhood Imams like Hu Songshan ordered Muslims to pray for the Kuomintang government, salute Kuomintang flags during prayer, and listen to nationalist sermons.

Chinese Muslims were among the most hardline Kuomintang members.

The Kuomintang incited anti Yan Xishan and Feng Yuxiang sentiments among Chinese Muslims and Mongols, encouraging for them to topple their rule during the Central Plains War.

General Ma Bufang and other high ranking Muslim Generals attended the Kokonuur Lake Ceremony where the God of the Lake was worshipped, and during the ritual, the Chinese national anthem was sung, all participants bowed to a Portrait of Kuomintang party founder Dr. Sun Yat-sen, and the God of the Lake was also bowed to, and offerings were given to him by the participants, which included the Muslims.

The Khmer Rouge explicitly targeted the Chinese, Vietnamese, and even their partially Khmer offspring for extinction ; although the Cham Muslims received disfavorable treatment, they were by contrast encouraged to " mix flesh and blood ", or intermarry and assimilate.

Chinese Muslims refused to follow the May Fourth Movement.

The surname Mǎ ( 馬 ), is a common family name for Chinese Muslims, and is sometimes said to derive from the name Fatima.

The Chinese theaters also played movies with Chinese and English subtitles for the non-Chinese viewers, which were very often black Muslims that enjoyed movies with non-white heroes, Caucasian martial arts students and people who were film cognoscenti.

The Malay Muslims in Malaysia, Brunei, Singapore, Indonesia have adapted the Chinese custom of handing out money gifts as part of their Eid al-Fitr (" Hari Raya Aidilfitri " in the Malay language ) celebrations, by issuing token gifts of money in green packets.

Since China's Muslims speaking various Turkic, Mongolic, or Iranian languages are all included into those other groups ( e. g., Uyghurs, Dongxiang, or Tajiks ) the " officially recognized " Hui ethnic group consists predominantly of Chinese speakers.

Whereas the primary meanings of the Lo Shu diagram seemed to have been based on its inner mathematical properties -- and we shall see that even its secondary meanings rested on some mathematical bases -- the urgent desire to place everything into categories of fives led to other groupings based on other numbers, until an exaggerated emphasis on mere numerology pervaded Chinese thought.

This occurs even in some restaurants that would not otherwise be identified as California Chinese, both the more Westernized places and the more authentic places.

Chinese philosophy still carries profound influence amongst the people of East Asia, and even Southeast Asia.

As it is now considered a veneration of Chinese history and tradition, even Communist Party members may be found in attendance.
