The Estevan Art Gallery and Museum, formerly the Estevan National Exhibition Centre, was founded in 1978.

The Estevan Art Gallery is a free public gallery that showcases contemporary art.

In 1961, W. R. Bullard conducted excavations led by the Royal Ontario Museum ( Rom ), at Baking Pot and San Estevan, and although no excavations took place, the site was initially called “ Rockstone Pond .” In 1963, quarrying activity by local villagers led to a recovery of a large and elaborate carved jade pendant.

This Museum is located in a house which is the oldest known North West Mounted Police Detachment Post in Saskatchewan and holds a collection that relates to the North West Mounted Police and the 1874 March West from Roche Percee to Estevan.

Anderson also had to deal with labour unrest culminating in the Estevan Riot of 1931.

Pipeline News, Saskatchewan Petroleum Monthly newspaper is also based out of Estevan.

The city of Estevan also has a local arts council, founded in 1967.

Esteban Rodriguez Miró y Sabater ( 1744 – June 4, 1795 ), also known as Esteban Miro and Estevan Miro, was a Spanish army officer and governor of the Spanish American provinces of Louisiana and Florida.

Estevan Enrique " Steve " Bellán (; October 1, 1849 – August 8, 1932 ), also known as Esteban, was a Cuban professional baseball player who played as a third baseman for six seasons in the United States ( USA ), three in the National Association of Base Ball Players ( NABBP ) from 1868 to, and three in the National Association of Professional Base Ball Players ( NAPBBP ) from to.

Provincial Highways 39 and 47 connect Estevan with the American state of North Dakota.

Among the telephone exchanges purchased were those in Estevan, Moose Jaw, North Battleford, Prince Albert, and Regina.

Although most of the strikers were from nearby Bienfait, the strike is associated with Estevan because it was in this city that the demonstrators were met by members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

San Estevan Archaeological Site

San Estevan del Rey Mission Church is a church that was founded in 1629 in Acoma, New Mexico and named for the king.

The first European to venture into the region was Estevan Gomez, a Portuguese working for the Spanish Crown.

Within a period of 112 years, 1497 – 1609, four European explorers claimed this land for their sponsors: John Cabot, 1497, for England ; Giovanni de Verrazano, 1524, for France ; Estevan Gomez, 1525, for Spain, Henry Hudson, 1609, for Holland.

After the Gadsden Purchase, southern Arizona's social elite, including the Estevan Ochoa, Mariano Samaniego, and Leopoldo Carillo families, remained primarily Mexican American until the coming of the railroad in the 1880s.

Significant villages in Orange Walk District include August Pine Ridge, Blue Creek, Douglas, Chan Pine Ridge, Douglas, Indian Church, Guinea Grass, San Antonio, San Carlos, San Estevan, San Felipe, San José, San Jose Palmar, Nuevo San Juan, San Lazaro, San Luis, San Pablo, San Roman, Santa Cruz, Santa Martha, Shipyard, Trial Farm, Trinidad and Yo Creek.

San Estevan was the first town in the Orange Walk District of the nation of Belize but later became a village due to migration of villagers to other parts of the country during a great epedimic.

San Estevan is surrounded by thousands of acres of lush cane plantations.

Weyburn had since become an important railroad town in Saskatchewan – the Pasqua branch or the Souris, Arcola, Weyburn, Regina CPR branch ; Portal Section on the CPR / Soo Line ; Moose Jaw, Weyburn, Shaunavon, Lethbridge CPR section ; the Brandon, Marfield, Carlyle, Lampman, Radville, Willow Bunch section of the Canadian National Railway ( CNR ); and the Regina, Weyburn, Radville, Estevan, Northgate CNR section have all run through Weyburn.

This led Hunter to form a new league with five former members of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League ( SJHL ), the Estevan Bruins, Regina Pats, Saskatoon Blades, Moose Jaw Canucks, and Weyburn Red Wings, to leave the SJHL and join the Oil Kings and the Calgary Buffaloes in a new league known as the Canadian Major Junior Hockey League.

The WCHL truly became a western league in 1971 when Estevan moved to B. C.

He is originally from Estevan, Saskatchewan and attended the University of Saskatchewan before moving to Manitoba.

This included Juan Dias ( ancestor of Bartolomeu Dias who rounded the Cape of Good Hope ), Gil Eanes, Lançarote de Freitas, Estevan Alfonso and Rodrigo Alvarez, who provisioned a squadron of six caravels to travel to isle of Garças in 1444, but returned with 150 Africans.

He traded with the natives near Estevan Point, although apparently without landing.

Some notable ones include a coal miners strike that resulted in the Estevan Riot in Estevan, Saskatchewan that left three strikers dead by RCMP bullets in 1931, a waterfront strike in Vancouver that culminated with the " Battle of Ballantyne Pier " in 1935, and numerous unemployed demonstrations up to and including the On-to-Ottawa Trek that left one Regina police constable and one protester dead in the " Regina Riot.

Estevan ( Assiniboine: į ́ yoȟnoga ) is the eighth largest city in Saskatchewan, Canada.

The city is surrounded by the Rural Municipality of Estevan No. 5.

Prior to Kennedy Center, it screened films in the auditorium of the National Gallery of Art.

It then toured to other states, with the final appearance at the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery on 21 January 2007.

In 1867 gas street lighting was implemented, the University of Adelaide was founded in 1874, the South Australian Art Gallery opened in 1881 and the Happy Valley Reservoir opened in 1896.

The Haworth Art Gallery in Accrington contains an outstanding collection of Tiffany glassware presented to the town by Joseph Briggs, an Accrington man who had joined Tiffany ’ s in the late 19th century and eventually became art director and assistant manager.
