During Merrifield's tenure as president thirteen new buildings were constructed on Loyola Marymount's main campus including the Von der Ahe Communication Arts Building, the George Page Baseball Stadium, Doolan Hall, Gersten Pavilion, Burns Fine Art Center, the Laband Art Gallery, the Leavey Faculty Center and the Loyola Apartments.

Around this time, the Faculty Apartments were built, later known as Presidents Row.

In 1964 the social sciences were split from the Faculty of Humanities.

Senior and supreme commanders were trained at the Higher Military Academic Courses, renamed the Advanced Courses for Supreme Command in 1925 ; the 1931 establishment of an Operations Faculty at the Frunze Military Academy supplemented these courses.

Master's and Doctoral degree programs were first introduced through the Atlantic Veterinary College and, beginning in 1999, a Master of Science degree was offered through the Faculty of Science.

In 1920, the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Arts were added, from which latter the School of Mathematics and Natural Sciences was split off in 1955 to form a separate Faculty.

In 2006, the Faculties of History and Geography and the Faculty of Philosophy were moved from the Pedralbes Campus to the historic centre of the city ( Ciutat Vella district ), in the El Raval neighborhood, and just a short walk from the Historic Building of the University.

Her studies at the Faculty of Science were interrupted by World War I.

Clap skates were developed at the Faculty of Human Movement Sciences of the Vrije Universiteit of Amsterdam, led by Gerrit Jan van Ingen Schenau, although the idea of a clap skate is much older ; designs dating from around 1900 are known.

In 1989, two new faculties were created, the Faculty of Information and Communications and the Faculty of Engineering Sciences.

Through a series of delicate negotiations which turned into bitter hostilities, the " Faculty of Science and Engineering " broke free from Waterloo College, partly due to the fact that the two campuses were now disjoint.

In 2003 two new faculties were founded concentrating on the life and human sciences: the Faculty of biology and medicine ; and the Faculty of earth science and environment.

In 1982, under president Edward J. Bloustein, the faculties were centralized into one college, the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, but the residential colleges persisted for students, along with disparate standards for admission, good standing, and graduation, as well as a confusing network of bureaucracies.

Finally in the fall of 2007, the residential colleges and Faculty of Arts and Sciences were merged into the new School of Arts and Sciences with one set of admissions criteria, curriculum and graduation requirements.

By 1905, the two institutions were large and active forces in the area, and the Municipal College of Technology, forerunner of UMIST, formed the Faculty of Technology of the Victoria University of Manchester while continuing as a technical college in parallel with the advanced courses of study in the faculty.

Prior to the formation of The Law Society of Scotland, solicitors were in most areas organized into a local Faculty of Procurators or Faculty of Procurators and Solicitors.

In 1897 a petition by the Faculty of Advocates for the establishment of a Scottish roll of Queen's Counsel was approved and the first appointments were made later in that year.

The widespread introduction of electronic typewriters and calculators ( many of which were manufactured and imported from places like Japan and the United States ) soon afterwards was probably a major factor contributing to the decline of the raised decimal point, although it can still sometimes be encountered in academic circles ( e. g., Cambridge University History Faculty Style Guide 2010 ) and its use is still enforced by some UK-based academic journals such as The Lancet.

In 2002, two of the original Technion Faculties-Civil and Agricultural engineering, were merged together to create the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering.

In 1970 all activities were brought together in three faculties within the Linköping University College: the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, the Faculty of Medicine and the Institute of Technology.

In 1977 former teacher training colleges in Linköping and Norrköping were transferred to Linköping University and in 1986 the Faculty of Health Sciences was formed, based on the faculty of medicine and regional funded education in health care professions.

The School of Divinity is the largest building on the site, and was built between 1878-1879 by Basil Champneys for the University of Cambridge's Divinity Faculty on land leased by St John's College.

Brown & Vallance built the Faculty Club ( 1911 – 12 ) and rebuilt it after it burned in 1964.

In 1972 the purpose-built Wandsworth Road site opened, providing space for the Polytechnic's Faculty of the Built Environment, which at the time was the biggest and most comprehensive faculty in Europe for teaching built environment subjects such as surveying, town planning, architecture and other property related professional disciplines.

By 1953, the Faculty of Medicine had been fully built, complete with lectures, professorship chairs, final exams, research facilities and the hospitals of Aarhus had been expanded to meet the demands of clinical training.

Faculty expect that their students have access to and know how to use these applications for projects and homework assignments, and some have used the MATLAB platform to rebuild the courseware that they had originally built using the X Window System.

New university buildings have even been built in the city centre such as the one that houses the Faculty of Political Science and Law, whose architectural style blends with the secular surroundings creating a balance between preservation and innovation.

* The Allama Iqbal Faculty of Arts built at a cost of around $ 10 million by neighboring country Pakistan, was established in 2010.

Also of interest is Trumpington House ( completed in 1847, and which once held the College's wine collection in its basement ) built in the style of classical revival and currently leased to the Faculty of Education.

In research, the Faculty has built a reputation in the areas of international, European and comparative law.

In 1995 the new Arts and Design Faculty was built, the Leonardo Centre, designed by old pupil Piers Gough.

* Two Faculty cottages, 1005 and 1009 College Street, both built in the Bungalow style in 1906.

The introduction of this one-year graduate course was motivated by a University of Cambridge Mathematics Faculty Board Report on the " demand for postgraduate instruction in numerical analysis and automatic computing … < nowiki ></ nowiki > if not met, there is a danger that the application to scientific research of the machines now being built will be hampered ".

The new Grotiusgebouw is recently built and will offer more room to the Faculty of Law.

Remarkable among the new, modern establishments is the " Peace Building ", inaugurated in 1952, which was built as a harmonious addition to the red brick buildings of the Faculty of Science.

On June 15, 1963, Hacettepe University, Faculty of Medicine was established and a general teaching hospital was built.

The Faculty of Law had moved to Old College, built in 1789, and in 1862 the new degree of LL. B.

A comprehensive range of materials has been built up over the last three hundred years, and a modern library management system utilising the latest technology, ensure that the Advocates Library is able to meet the increasingly complex needs of members of the Faculty of Advocates.

In 1911 the university was moved into a newly built luxurious building in Veveří Street which is still used by the Faculty of civil enegineering.

Continuing the emphasis in sciences, the Physics lab was built and completed in January 1953, thus completing the " Faculty of Sciences " at the College.
