In 1975 Jonathan Fox founded Playback Theatre, a form of improvised community theatre which is often not comedic and replays stories as shared by members of the audience.

Architecturally notable Shriners Temples include the New York City Center, now used as a concert hall, Newark Symphony Hall, The Landmark Theater ( formerly The Mosque ) in Richmond, Virginia, the Tripoli Shrine Temple in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the Helena Civic Center ( Montana ) ( formerly the Algeria Shrine Temple ), and the Fox Theatre ( Atlanta, Georgia ) which was jointly built between the Atlanta Shriners and William Fox.

Other films shot in widescreen were the musical Happy Days ( 1929 ) which premiered at the Roxy Theater, New York City, on February 13, 1930, starring Janet Gaynor and Charles Farrell and a 12 year old Betty Grable as a chorus girl ; Song o ’ My Heart, a musical feature starring Irish tenor John McCormack and directed by Frank Borzage ( Seventh Heaven, A Farewell to Arms ), which was shipped from the labs on March 17, 1930, but never released and may no longer survive, according to film historian Miles Kreuger ( the 35mm version, however, debuted in New York on March 11, 1930 ); and the western The Big Trail ( 1930 ) starring John Wayne and Tyrone Power, Sr. which premiered at Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on October 2, 1930, all of which were also made in the 70mm Fox Grandeur process.

* The Hanford Fox Theatre was constructed in 1929 and is located on Irwin Street in Hanford's city center.

* In recent years " The Clem ", as it is familiarly nicknamed, has become a center of nightlife for Macomb County, including many bars such as The Emerald Theatre ( designed by C. Howard Crane who also designed Radio City Music Hall in New York, Orchesta Hall Detroit and Fox Theatre Detroit ), The Rock Room, Johnny G's, Cush, Madisons Pub, Hayloft, Crazy Eight's, Orleans Billiards, Montes Martini Lounge, RecBowl, Fritts ' Pub, Your Mother's, Little Lorraines, and Fast Eddie's.

That line, the longest streetcar route in the nation, originated as the West End Narrow Gauge Railway, which in the beginning ran from the alley next to the Fox Theatre near Grand and Olive streets.

In 2007 the City of Centralia bought the theater and it is currently being further restored by the Historic Fox Theatre Restorations.

The Fox Theatre has been adapted for use as the Central Christian Center.

The awards were held in Nashville until 2011, where they have since been presented at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia.

In November 2011, the band was given the Legend Award at the Soul Train Awards at Atlanta, Georgia's Fox Theatre.

* In July / August 2011 YAP Theatre Company staged a new adaptation of The Beggar's Opera in Swindon and London, UK, with an updated script by Matt Fox and a new musical arrangement by Jessie Thompson.

Their May 9 show at Atlanta's Fox Theatre was simulcast in LIVE HD, via satellite, in select movie theatres nationwide.

The Middleburg Historic District, comprising the 19th-century center of town, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, as is the Red Fox Inn, the oldest building in town, and billed as the oldest continually operated inn in the U. S.

The depot is also served by connections to the Twin Transit Transportation system and is located within walking distance to Carnegie Library, Historic Fox Theater, McMenamin ’ s Olympic Club Hotel & Theater, Santa Lucia Coffee Company as well as various eateries, shops, and antique vendors.

Historic districts include the Fox Theatre Historic District and Historic Midtown, and both are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Historic Indians and later European explorers and fur traders of the Upper Mississippi Valley used the Fox and Wisconsin rivers as a primary highway between the Great Lakes and Mississippi River.

All of the locks along the Lower Fox have been placed on the National and State Register of Historic Places.

Similarly, public spaces and parks are managed by the neighboring, larger Fox Valley Park District.

The tan brick building, erected on part of the land of the island which had been transferred to the Fox Valley Park District in 1949, contained a room to house the fire department equipment, the police office, and the office of the village clerk.

District 303 covers and serves 13, 590 students in the Fox River Valley.

There are currently two high schools in Arnold, Missouri: Fox High School and Seckman Senior High School in the Fox C-6 School District.

Fox Creek High School is located in Edgefield County and is a Charter School operated under the South Carolina Public Charter School District.

Arnold bought the small estate of Fox How, near Ambleside in the Lake District in 1832, and spent many of his holidays there.
