The Colorado Front Range is a colloquial geographic term for the most populous region of the state of Colorado in the United States.

The area is located just east of the foothills of the Front Range, aligned in a north-south configuration on the western edge of the Great Plains, where they meet the Rockies.

Fort Collins is a Home Rule Municipality situated on the Cache La Poudre River along the Colorado Front Range, and is the county seat and most populous city of Larimer County, Colorado, United States.

The city is situated at the base of the Rocky Mountain foothills of the northern Front Range approximately north of Denver, Colorado and south of Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Its drainage basin includes much of the eastern flank of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado ; much of the populated region known as the Colorado Front Range and Eastern Plains ; and a portion of southeastern Wyoming in the vicinity of the city of Cheyenne.

This territory included what is now Colorado, east of the Front Range of the Rockies and north of the Arkansas River ; Wyoming and Nebraska, south of the North Platte River ; and extreme western Kansas.
