Poison Ivy is misled into blaming Strange for this calamity and subsequently swears revenge on Gotham City.

Unlike the Crime Syndicate of Earth-Three, this Crime Syndicate of Amerika are able to rule their world ( a change from their pre-Crisis counterparts, who were unsuccessful in conquering their world ) though allow governments to continue operating and honest people are able to continue operating in pockets such as Gotham City Police Commissioner Thomas Wayne Sr. ( father to Owlman and counterpart of the murdered father of Batman ).

Tetch's role in the deaths of the Gotham Hawks High School Baseball team is eventually discovered by detectives in the Gotham City Police Department.

* The ( fictional ) Major Crimes Unit of the Gotham City Police Department in the Batman series of comic books ; and the agency of the Chicago Police Department in the TV Series Crime Story ; the term recurred again in the movie Heat, as the Unit from which Lt. Vincent Hanna ( Al Pacino ) takes down Neil McCauley ( Robert De Niro ) and his crew

" As a former member of a street gang run by youthful racketeer Charlie " Big Time " Bigelow, Terry had his fair share of run-ins with the Gotham City Police at age fourteen while his parents were going through a divorce, even serving a three-month stint in juvenile hall ( having been underage, he is spared Charlie's three-year sentence ).
