The Hive Queen very emphatically wants to be revived and freed on Lusitania.

Valentine and her family plan to come to Lusitania to help out in the rebellion, aided by Jane ; Miro, with his crippled body, is sent into space to meet them ; the Hive Queen is released, ready to begin the continuation of her species ; and Ender marries Novinha.

Ender tells the story of the Buggers as it is related to him, and publishes it as The Hive Queen under the pseudonym " Speaker for the Dead.

Under the terms of the treaty with Pequeninos, the Hive Queen is brought in to hold the peace, setting a perimeter guard of hive drones around the human colony and preventing further escalation of violence between the two groups.

Knowing the Ansible communication network allows instantaneous transfer of information, and through knowledge of how the Hive Queen gives sentience to child queens, Jane, Grego, and Olhado discover the " Outside.

This story, a frank account of Peter Wiggin's life, is later published as a single volume with Ender's The Hive Queen, a small novel about the Formics, or buggers, telling the truth behind the tale.

During the two-year transit ( subjective time ) to their new home, as well as the colony's first years there, Valentine pens a complete multi-volume history of the wars against the Formics, with the final book centering primarily around the now-legendary Ender Wiggin and including the text of The Hive Queen by the Speaker for the Dead.

No barrier on cultural contamination lasted either — Miro and Ouanda ended up offering the pequeninos printouts of The Hive Queen and The Hegemon as well as a copy of the Gospel of John.

The history of the pequeninos came to a radical turn with the coming of Ender Wiggin to the planet, who at the time was also seeking a planet suitable to relocate the one surviving Formic Hive Queen.

After this was accomplished, Ender Wiggin wrote the " Life of Human " as the third piece to accompany " The Hive Queen " and " The Hegemon " as the story of the three known intelligent species of the galaxy.
