* Franz, Duke of Bavaria ( born 1933 ), called " Francis II " by supporters of the Jacobite claim to the thrones of England, Scotland, Ireland and France.

Franz, Duke of Bavaria is the current heir general of King Charles I and so the present heir to the Jacobite claim.

Queen Anne was the last British monarch to claim to possess this divine ability, though the Jacobite pretenders also claimed to do so.

On the death of her uncle Francis in 1875, Maria Theresa became heir to his Jacobite claim to the throne of England, and is called either Queen Mary IV and III or Queen Mary III by Jacobites.

His son Nicholas Browne, 4th Baronet, 2nd Viscount was also a Jacobite supporter and therefore also attainted and could not claim the estates.

Whether there was any real seriousness in this claim is not known, but it may also go some way towards explaining why he felt so strongly about the Jacobite cause.

Henrietta's daughter Anne was then the Queen of Sardinia and a Catholic ; the Jacobite heirs of today are descended from her line.

The town grew up as a settlement next to a fort constructed to control the population after Oliver Cromwell's invasion during the English Civil War, and then to suppress the Jacobite uprisings of the 18th century.

The Jacobite pretender to the thrones of United Kingdom and France, Charles Edward Stuart, who was under 14 then, also participated in the French and Spanish siege of Gaeta, making his first exposure to battle.

The British Army then embarked upon the so-called ' pacification ' of Jacobite areas of the highlands.

Charles Boyle received several additional honours in the reign of George I ; but having had the misfortune to fall under the suspicion of the government as a Jacobite he was committed to the Tower in 1722, where he remained six months, and was then admitted to bail.

The family lost the estate due to their Jacobite sympathies, and it then became the property of the Edmonstone family.

At night Wills's order to light government held positions for identification helped Jacobite snipers, then overnight many Jacobites left the town.

The castle was then largely destroyed in 1692 by Williamite troops who had been holding the castle against Jacobite forces.

They occupied Stella Hall for 150 years and then in 1700 it passed into the ownership ( by marriage ) of Lord Widdrington, a noted Jacobite.

The castle passed from the Clan Elphinstone to the Clan Erskine before being abandoned in 1716 following the failure of the Jacobite rebellion.

At his death the position of Jacobite heir passed to his niece ( as Mary IV and III ), Maria Theresia Henriette Dorothee, who was subsequently Queen Consort of Bavaria.

Control of the Castle finally passed out of Molyneux hands after Caryll had again been suspected of participation in a Jacobite plot.

Richard Talbot, the future Jacobite Duke of Tyrconnell was one of the few members of the garrison to survive the sack.

The O ' Rourke family were originally members of the Jacobite Irish Nobility who fled Ireland following defeat by the Williamites in 1691.

The college is managed by an association of members drawn from the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church, Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church, the Malankara Marthoma Church, the Church of South India and the Inter Church Fellowship of the College.
