The result was the Eythrope Water Pavilion, one of the smaller of the Rothschild houses of Buckinghamshire, its design is an unostentatious complement to the great faux-chateau four miles away of Waddesdon Manor.

* George Somers Leigh Clarke ( 1822 – 1882, eminent architect lived at Walpole, Manor Park and number a important local houses.

The National Trust houses at Wightwick Manor, Wolverhampton, and at Wallington Hall, Northumberland, both have significant and representative collections.

Suitland Manor is directly across Suitland Road from the Suitland Federal Center, which houses the national headquarters of the United States Census Bureau, among other government agencies.

The harassment from the Lord of the Manor, Francis Drake ( not the famous Francis Drake, who had died more than 50 years before ), was both deliberate and systematic: he organised gangs in an attack on the Diggers, including numerous beatings and an arson attack on one of the communal houses.

Historic buildings and places of interest in the area include the neolithic long barrows ( Uley Long Barrow ) at Uley, Selsley Common and Nympsfield to the west ; Roman era remains at Frocester, West Hill near Uley, and Woodchester ; the medieval buildings at Beverston Castle ; and the outstanding Tudor houses at Newark Park and Owlpen Manor.

By 1636 it had become so popular that two houses were built next to the spring to cater for the visitors, one for the ladies and one for the gentlemen, and in 1664 Lord Muskerry, Lord of the Manor, enclosed it with a triangular stone wall, and built a hall " to shelter the dippers in wet weather.

Kettering's Heritage Quarter houses the Manor House Museum and the Alfred East Gallery.

Kahn was responsible for many of the buildings and houses in Walkerville, Ontario built under direction of the Hiram Walker family including Willistead Manor.

This " 5Ws " route would connect Wolverhampton city centre to Wednesfield, Willenhall, Walsall and Wednesbury, and provide direct access to New Cross and Manor Hospitals, partially using the trackbed of the former Wolverhampton and Walsall Railway.

Notable buildings include the Perpendicular parish church ( St Olaf's ) in the village of Poughill just outside of Bude, the parish church of St Michael and All Angels ( built in 1835 and enlarged in 1876 ; the architect was George Wightwick ), Ebbingford Manor, and the town's oldest house, Quay Cottage in the centre of town.

The ward covers Sutton town centre and includes the neighbourhoods of Tudor Hill, Maney, New Hall Manor, Falcon Lodge, Whitehouse Common, Withy Hill, Little Sutton and Reddicap Heath.

The manor house of the Lord of the Manor, in the centre of the medieval town of Manchester, stood on a sandstone bluff, at the confluence of the River Irwell and the River Irk.
