He collaborated with Dieter Moebius on five Moebius & Plank studio albums recorded between 1979 and 1986.

In 1979 he went into the studio with Dieter Moebius to record the first Moebius & Plank album, Rastakraut Pasta which was released the following year.

Plank continued to work as half of the duo Moebius & Plank, recording four additional albums.

In 1983, Moebius & Plank also recorded the album Ludwig's Law using an Emulator, an early form of sampling keyboard that enabled them to duplicate other instruments without having to deal with the musicians who played them.

The final Moebius & Plank collaboration, En Route was recorded in Conny's Studio in 1986 but left incomplete as Plank's health deteriorated.

In November 2007 he toured with Dieter Moebius ( another member of Harmonia ) as Rother & Moebius.

Plank fell ill while touring South America with Dieter Moebius, performing music from Ludwig's Law.

Other notable friends and collaborators are sound manipulator Antonym, Russian composer Artemiy Artemiev, Dieter Moebius, and Attrition's mastermind Martin Bowes.

Their diverse musical backgrounds ( hip hop and Heavy Metal ) notwithstanding, they initially produced straight minimalist techno under the name Musik Aus Strom ( German for music made of electricity ) and signed for a six-album deal to Unit Moebius ' label Bunker Records / Acid Planet in 1994.

His comic strip work has influenced generations of artists, including creators such as William Joyce, André LeBlanc, Moebius, Maurice Sendak, Chris Ware and Bill Watterson.

Artists like Moebius influenced the works of Matsumoto such that they bore both European and Japanese artistics features on their pages.

The stories were strongly influenced by the teachings of Jean-Paul Appel-Guery and Swiss nutritionist Guy-Claude Burger, as well as Moebius ' transient lifestyle (" The Gardens of Edena " was drawn in Tokyo and Los Angeles for example, and " The Goddess " was begun in France and completed in California ).

Lovecraft's penchant for dreamscapes and for the biologically macabre has also profoundly influenced visual artists such as Jean " Moebius " Giraud and H. R. Giger.

" DiTerlizzi was influenced by artists such as Hieronymus Bosch and Leonardo da Vinci to early 1900s magazine artists ( Maxfield Parrish, Heinrich Kley ) to classic children's book illustrators ( Arthur Rackham, Ernest Shepard, John Tenniel ) to offbeat modern fantastists ( Brian Froud, Moebius, William Stout, Jim Henson ).

The greatest and most enduring success however was mainly for some series started in the 1940s, 1950s and 1960 ( including Lucky Luke, The Smurfs, and Asterix ), and the even older Tintin, while many more recent series have not made a significant commercial impact outside the French and Dutch speaking countries, despite the critical acclaim for authors like Moebius.

He is held in high esteem by many of his peers, both those he tutored like Franquin and Moebius, and other ones.

" Moebius " was supposed to be the Stargate SG-1 series finale ( like the two previous season finales ), so many actors reprised their roles from past episodes: Don S. Davis as George Hammond, Peter Williams as Apophis, Colin Cunningham as Major Davis, and Jay Acovone as Charles Kawalsky.

In his later life, Moebius decided to revive the Arzak character in an elaborate new adventure series, the first volume of a planned trilogy, Arzak l ' arpenteur, appeared in 2010.

A two-issue Silver Surfer miniseries ( later collected as Silver Surfer: Parable ), scripted by Lee and drawn by Moebius, was published through Marvel's Epic Comics imprint in 1988 and 1989.

His long association with Dieter Moebius and Hans-Joachim Roedelius of Kluster and later Cluster endured until his death.

Homer's line " close enough " from " Time and Punishment " was later used in the Stargate SG-1 episode " Moebius ".

Moebius later revisited the character with a story called The Legend of Arzach.

This later story contains dialogue, and it ties the Arzach stories into a previously unrelated Moebius story called The Detour.

* Mister Blueberry ( 1995 – 2005 ), a 5-volume story arc of the comics series Blueberry by French artist Jean Giraud aka Moebius combines multiple plots including one about the gunfight.

In 1975, when Moebius, Druillet, and Jean-Pierre Dionnet started publishing the magazine Métal Hurlant in France, Corben submitted some of his stories to them.
