Under current head wrestling coach Jeff Buxton, the team has won 31 consecutive National Prep Titles ( from 1981 – 2012 ) and produced a number of NCAA champions and Olympic gold medalist Robert B. Weaver.

The school was one of 11 high schools in the highly-regarded East Penn Conference ( now known as the 12-school Lehigh Valley Conference ), a high school league that has produced a number of NCAA and NFL football players.

Ballou over the years has produced several DCIAA City Champions and countless NCAA Scholarship Athletes.
