However, in a situation with a Narn outpost late in 2258, Londo recognizes an opportunity to strike at the Narns using the Shadows ' help, while increasing his prestige and revenging an earlier action by the Narns.

This assistance culminates in their protection of Centauri supply lines during an assault by the Narn, enabling the Centauri to directly attack the Narn homeworld in a devastating assault using mass drivers ( a method deemed appalling by most other races due to its use causing indiscriminate civilian casualties and severe damage to a planet's biosphere ), leading to the surrender of the Narn soon thereafter.

* G ' Kar did see the Centauri humbled and his homeworld made safe, but by that time he had outgrown his anger and was disgusted by the resulting slaughter, and though Narn was safe and free, his people were left confused and directionless when the object of their hate was reduced to a state worthy only of pity.

* The Narn warship, the G ' tok, commanded by Warleader Na ' kal, will reappear in season 3 on " Walkabout " to assist Sheridan.

A portion of the Narn i Chîn Húrin or The Tale of the Children of Húrin is a part of the book Unfinished Tales by the English author J. R. R. Tolkien.

* The attack by the Narn against the Centauri Republic foreshadows a war that would formally end in the second season episode The Long, Twilight Struggle.

The Narn outpost in Quadrant 37 is destroyed by two Shadow vessels.

The Book of G ' Kar continued to gain popularity following his death, and along with G ' Quan he became one of the most widely read authors amongst the Narn.

One of the most revered locations on Narn is the G ' Quon mountain range which was once home to the vicious On ' Vik and herds of wild Dar and horned beasts called Natok that stomp and make noise when angered or disturbed.

The mass drivers rained huge meteors down onto the planet's surface, reducing most of Narn's cities to rubble, killing millions of Narn civilians, and effectively shattering the Narn's infrastructure and defensive abilities.

Former Ambassador G ' Kar was the most prominent figure in this struggle, and indeed he came over time to symbolise not just the desire of the Narn to be free, but of all peoples in the galaxy.

It was apparent that the majority of Narn in a position to influence the future of their nation tended toward a desire for revenge rather than reconciliation ; at this point, however, they were in no position to threaten anyone, with most of their industrial base destroyed and only a few fugitive ships remaining of their fleet-enough perhaps to defend the homeworld, but not to wage a war.

Narn ships gave logistical support to Sheridan and his fleet in their ultimately successful bid to oust President Clark and return power in the Earth Alliance to its people, but for most of this year the Narn concentrated on rebuilding their shattered world.

In 2262 the Narn military became more numerous and active again, most notably in a joint strike with the Drazi against Centauri Prime in response to a series of attacks on Interstellar Alliance cargo vessels, but as much for revenge as anything else.

Of the few who stayed behind, most remained for reasons known only to them, but of these remaining races, two would be charged with the guardianship of the younger races ( the Minbari, Narn, Centauri, Humans and others ).

Their religion venerates philosopher prophets, and most Narn draw strength from various different holy writings, the most noted being The Book of G ' Quan.

These weapons, combined with its standard complement of 12 Sentri class fighters, make the Primus more than a match for most of its Narn counterparts.

Minbari Ambassador Delenn and Narn Ambassador G ' Kar enter and offer their condolences.

G ' Kar enters the garden, where he finds Sinclair ; G ' Kar vows that the Narn will take vengeance on the Centauri for their occupation of the Narn homeworld.

The Emperor knows that he will die soon, and he wishes to meet with Narn Ambassador G ' Kar in neutral territory and offer a public apology on behalf of the Centauri people for their occupation and enslavement of the Narn homeworld.

He goes to Minbari Ambassador Delenn, and they agree to pool their resources to help Narn civilians escape from Centauri attacks and to provide humanitarian aid to the Narn populace, but that is the best they can do.

Ambassador G ' Kar of the Narn claims that the Centauri have been using Babylon 5 ( supposedly neutral territory ) to load illegal mass driver weapons onto their merchant ships to attack the Narn.

Londo tells Torqueman that the Centauri only occupied Narn to " help " the Narn raise their standard of living and claims that his people " voluntarily " left Narn when they were asked to do so.

* A thousand years ago the Narn telepaths sacrificed themselves to drive the Shadows from their homeworld.

G ' Kar stumbles into the remains of the replica Centauri palace on Narn even as other Narns celebrate their freedom by setting off fireworks and ransacking the palace.

When a Centauri warship powered by one of the Shadow devices tries to destroy the jumpgate at Babylon 5 ( and in fact damages it ), the Drazi and Narn commanders decide to secretly combine their forces to launch an all-out attack on the Centauri homeworld itself.

The onset of the wars that nearly consume the galaxy in the series -- especially his own complicity in their occurrence -- changes Londo from an embittered patriot longing for the old days to a more introspective and sympathetic man determined to rebuild not just his own society, but that of others ; prior to his coronation as Emperor, he becomes a significant force in emancipating and restoring Narn and in assisting the Interstellar Alliance in bringing peace to the galaxy.

However, he climbs Centauri Prime's political ladder through manipulating his people's hatred of the Narn Regime ( former slaves of the Centauri, who fought for and won their independence ).

This was during the time when the Narn resistance movement was gaining in strength and their increased aggression was slowly driving the Centauri out of Narn.

The fighters attack the Centauri warships and send a signal to the Narn homeworld that the Centauri have invaded and conquered the colony.

Fearing the worst, she goes to the meeting and learns from Londo, his aide Vir Cotto, and Narn Ambassdor G ' Kar that the entire council has voted to supply warships to the resistance fleet to help rescue Sheridan and liberate Earth from President Clark's fascist regime.

Near the end of the conflict a large force of Narn and Drazi warships made for Centauri Prime, while Drakh agents forced the Regent to deactivate the planetary defences and send any warships defending the planet away on a false mission.

When it came to an all-out open war, the Narn found that the Centauri fleet was still much larger than their own, and that Centauri warships still possessed a significant technological advantage over their Narn counterparts.

Centauri vessels were equipped with artificial gravity, which gave them more speed and maneuverability than Narn warships.

However, the Narn fleet was no match at all for the ancient Shadow vessels ; a single Shadow vessel could easily destroy an entire fleet of Narn warships.

Ambassador Mollari relayed the information to the Shadows, and so five Shadow warships were waiting for the Narn fleet at Gorash 7.

Refa had developed a plan that would avoid major Centauri casualties by not landing an invasion army on the Narn homeworld ; instead, a Centauri fleet would bombard the planet's surface with large meteors fired from mass drivers attached to Centauri warships.

Even so, the thin armor and age of the Primus does leave it vulnerable to new alien warships with thicker armor, such as the Narn G ' Quan-Class cruiser and the Earth Alliance Omega-Class destroyers.
