There's a museum here and also Old Abilene Town, a reconstruction of the cattle boomtown of the 70's and 80's.

The party is to raise money for the Old Town Art center and to plant more crabapple trees along the streets of Old Town.

* The first week of August is " Indian Week " for the Penobscot Tribe in Old Town, Maine.

In this week, members of the Penobscot Tribe from all over Maine venture to the Penobscot Indian Island Reservation in Old Town and take part in games, Native American arts and crafts, pow-wows, cook-outs, etc.

Two blocks west of the Old Town is the Kuchlbauer Brewery and beer garden featuring the Kuchlbauer Tower, a colorful and unconventional observation tower designed by Viennese architect Friedensreich Hundertwasser.

Next to the market place is the Old Town Hall, built in 1737 in Rococo style, under the rule of Clemens August of Bavaria.

Hundreds of settlers arrived, developing lots just south of the original Old Town.

Kalisz Old Town Hall

The first evidence of polyphony with more than one singer per part comes in the Old Hall Manuscript ( 1420, though containing music from the late 14th century ), in which there are apparent divisi, one part dividing into two simultaneously sounding notes.
